FS9 hELP

Hello I have just installed and registered FSUIPC 3.8 for FS9. I enter FS9 and try to access the FSUIPC to set up my config but my screen goes black and i DO NOT get to the menu. I must use the ESC key to get back to FS9. Can some one please help. thanks Dennis G
