I have found the mistake (or better to say - it works now) :-)
Good for the tree hahaha
Have a nice day...

Good Morning, Sir...
after I have written about the need of updating FSUIPC/ WideFS I did it this morning before I want start to a long haul flight - but it is like every morning when I have a day off and I want to fly - technical issues prevent me from flying :-)
I have installed the new FSUIPC version - I have registered both (FSUIPC is tagged as a registered version in the FS)
I have copied the two WideServer - files (.dll and .ini) into the modules foider... But there is no connection between them.
Here are the WideFS Log file

Hello
I am running FS on 2 PCS (PC1 and PC2). PC1 only offers the FS itself. On PC2 I have installed all additional software such as FSFK, SQB or FSC9.x.
The plans I create with FSC are only used for FSFK and the SQB. So I don't need them to be saved in the default flightplan folder, which is located on PC1.
I have tried several times to enter an alternate folder into FSC9 to save the plans on a different place. But every day when I start FSC again, these changes are lost andd replaced by the path of the default folder.
Does anyone know, why thta happen?
Thanks for support

Hello
when the Button 'FlightplanPanel' is pressed (on mode), my FlightPlan Panel disappear - when I release the button (off mode), the panel appears again...
Why?
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
just download the current manual from version 9.2.2.
Please read chapter 16, NATracks and Pacots,
... Adding NATracks to a flightplan.
Volker
Thanks Volker. I got it. And in the meantime I have bought the Version 9.x of FSC.

Hello
I'm trying to build a route from EDDL to KEWR using FSC 8.x
Can anybody tell me, how I can insert a Nattrack into my plan? Or can anybody explain, how to create a flightplan from Europe to the USA?
First I add Departure an Arrival Airport into the flightplan and FSC builds a direct route between these Airports.
Than I add the departure route into the plan, based on the actual weather conditions, and the arrival route as well.
Now I press HighAltPlan button and FSC creates a route between the last point of my departure route and the first waypoint of my arrival route - thats it....
When I plan flight across the Atlantic ocean, it doesn't work in the same way. But how can I make FSC build plan to the first waypoint of the choosen Track?
When I display the Tracks on the map, I'm unable to let FSC connect the end of my dep. Route with the first WP of the TRACK - the same on the other side - I'm not able to connect the NATTRACK's ending point with the arrival airport.
Thanks for help.

Oh my god - have you ever seen such an idiot like me????? For thos who can read it is no problem - but for me.... it's such a shame....
I have found the error - as you have written I forgot to copy the two files into the modules folder..... Well I have installed this machine more than once, but I have never made a mistake like that..... I'm getting older....
Thanks for help. It works very well.... Ich aknn wieder fliegen Juchu....:-)

Hello Pete,
I don't know, but I don't have such a file neither in my current folder nor in my former folder (I've made a copy of the complete former folder)
I have just unzipped the downloaded and just copied into my Harddrive....
Now I don't know, what to do. What do you mean with "The server isn't installed"? Are you talking about the FSUIPC Software? I have installed it yesterday...
May you can give a little hint to me...
Thanks
Oliver

Hello, thanks for your quick response...
There is just a file called Wide Server with the following content:

But there is no text file called WideServer
I have checked the IP's yesterday and they are correct. My FlightSuim PC has the 192.168.178.24 and the machine with the WideFS on it has the number 192.168.178.23
The current wideclient.ini iks as follows:

Good moring.
first I want to apologize for coming up with such a problem on a sunday whre time is better spend with the familiy.
After a complete FS2004 Reinstallation I have the same problem described above. I'm trying to connect one XP32 Home PC (FS2004) wit a Laptop (Vista). It has worked until the reinstallation properly. During the Reinstall I have updated the FSUIPC Version to 3.999z and the WideFS to 6.991.
Here are the Logs

No problem - I will let you know, how it works.
Have a nice holiday and enjoy your time...
Thanks
Oliver
PS: I have asked in the VA Forum I fly for and they told me, that SB3 is for the FS9 only, but FS4 is for FSY and for FS9...
So SB4 works with the WideFS and I will try to find out, what happen wrong on my machine...
A nice holiday

When I look at the "About"-Screen, I see the following....

Hello,
sorry for the screenshot. I allways believe that a picture says more than thousand words - even if 'writer' isn't a native speaker. But back to the topic...
My Squawkbox Version seems to be the latest version - it is version 4.x... I don't know, if there is an error with my SQbox Installation - it works very well so I think, the installation is ok... And the link via WideFS works too. The Squawkbox displays a little gauge on the simulator with some indicators to indicate if there is a receiving/ sending transmission...
But I don't know how to see, if they are running on the same priority level (to be honset - I don't know, what that really means)
Oh, one other thing I thought of. The facility uses message broadcasting. Is it possible that you have the facilities for this turned off on the Client? No I don't.
Seems that something is broken either on your SB3 installation, or in the WideFS link. You could enable logging in the WideClient to ensure the message gets through. TryLog=Keys
in the [user] section of the WideClient.INI file.
I will give it a try and let you know, what happen....
-
Hello,
all four lines above are deleted, after that I treid it once again. Without sucess.... Look at the screenshot....
Thanks Oliver

Yes, you are right. There are some missing information.
I'm using FS2004, my FSUIPC Version is 3.93 and my WideFS is 6.8.6.0
I try to describe, what I have done and my you can see, what I make wrong.
First I start FS2004 and open the FSUIPC Dialog/ Buttons and Switches. I pressed the button from my joystick and FSUIPC recognizes the pressed button. Then I select the following options:
- Check 'Select for FS Control'
- choose PTT Transmit on
- Choose transmit off
- uncheck 'control to repeat while held'
Then I finished by pressing OK
On the client side I haven't changed anything, nor in the WideFS.ini or any other.
In my SB3 there is a button allocated to the PTT Function (right control). By pressing these button I can make sure, that ATC will hear me.
While pressing the defined button on the joystick, no mic will open....
Any idea to fix the problem?
Thanks
Oliver
- Check 'Select for FS Control'

Hello,
I try to put the PTT button of the SQB3 onto my joystick button. I have seen, that there where a option under the Button Folder in FSUIPC. I do the following:
- Open dialog button and switches
- Press button, that will become the PTT button
- Check Select for FS Control
- Choose PTT on (I don't know the entry) in the upper dropbox
- Choose PTT off in the lower dropbox
- Check Control send when button released
- The Parameter fields remain empty
I'm not sure, if I have to define a special PTT button on the client machine at the SQB itself (there is actually the right CTRL - Key defined, because I'm using the clients keypad for open microphone) or if the Joystick Button must be defined with a key, that will be send to the client machine and lead to the opening of the microphone.
I have read several description about this problem, but there is a FSUIPC Function used, that is called Keysend 1-255
Thanks for help.
Oliver

1. Is the altitude the only thing missing in FlightKeeper's log?
Yes, but it it's just missing, when using the FS Cargo. Without the FS Cargo everthing ist doing well...
2. Does it just omit it, or give it incorrectly? It give incorrect figures. During a flight at 15000ft, it will show minus 355 for example
3. Can you please enable IPC Read logging, in the Logging tab of FSUIPC, then reproduce the problem. Please end the session as soon as you know the FK logging is wrong -- the Log file will become huge quickly.4. Save the FSUIPC.LOG file with a different name, and do exactly the same for 3.7, stopping it at about the same time.
5. ZIP up the logs and email as attachments to me at petedowson@btconnect.com.
I will try to do it as explained. But I cannot send it to the FlightKeepers Supporter. They don't support the Version 2.8 anymore...:-(
See you then.

I cannot say, if there is an error shown - But I have tried it with a former version of FSUIPC (3.7) and then it works very fine.
I dont know, if thats an indikator for the reason of the problem.
What do you think?
Can you tell me, if the FSUIPC 3.7 works together with the WIDEFS 6.7.8???

Pete,
Thanks for the quick reply, if it contains no solution of my problem.
At the same time, my FlightKeeper doesnt record any altitudes during the FSADDON is running. Let us see, what can be the reason for all these problems.
By the way I want to say that your interface is one of the best addons for the simulation. There are so many things possible for me with FSUIPC and WIDEFS...
Thanks for that. It spends a lot of funny hours at the computer.

Do you know about a problem like that?

Is that version able to set flight controlls?
And can I save me current flight controls setting to import it to the older version?
Thank for help
