  1. Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong but AFAIK Widefs wil not do what you want. To have different views on different monitors you need WideView not WideFS. Rgds
  2. Hi Tim, I don't have Real Time but the files that correct time zones are from another author and have been incorporated in Real Time. There are around 50+ files so I'm not going to list them here  Best suggestion I can make is to reinstall Real Time and check on their web site (if they have one) or http://www.avsim.com for updated files. I know for a fact there have been some updates over the last 2-3 months. The last update I have for the stand-alone time zone fix is 27th April 2003 but there has been one since. Best of luck.
  3. >Not sure how WideFS would come into it. < All I was trying to do is see if the Widefs log file(s) gave me a clue as to when the crash was happening and what was causing it. From just looking at FS it was not clear exactly when and why to crash happened - mind you I still don't have a clue why it crashes even though I now know when and what app caused the crash  Rgds
  4. Hi Pete, I'm trying to fault find an FS crash and hope that the Widefs log files will help, before I have to ask you for help  In the log files are the numbers before each entry the time in milliseconds since the log file was started? And can you give me an indication of the normal value of max/avg reception achieved please? Thanks After a further trial this is a section of the Wideclient log file, do the 'error=' numbers mean anything to you Pete? 17645 New Client Application: "squawkbox" (Id=464) 541608 Timed out response: connection assumed lost! 541608 Ready to try connection again 541628 Attempting to connect now 541638 Connection made okay! 544362 Error on client post-Connection Select() [Error=10053] Software caused connection abort 544362 Ready to try connection again 544392 Attempting to connect now 545334 Error on client pre-Connection Select() [Error=10061] Connection refused
  5. Gosta, I think, and hope, that jwenting's comments, apart from the first paragraph, were directed at the masses who want evrything for free and not specifically directed at you. However it is up to Jeroen to clarify. Rgds
  6. Jeroen, Apart from your first paragraph I agree with everything you say, after all Pete did give the community the chance to avoid payware but the vast majority were too mean to make a donation  Vulcan
  7. As mentioned, you don't need SBHost. A quick search of the SB support forum http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=&forum=140 http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az==655&page= States "Delete b5 re-install SB - if I remember correctly point it to FS2K2 but when prompted say it is FS2K. It should then install 2.3b4 " I use 2 PCs to fly Vatsim without a problem but use the earlier version of SB (build 4) and Win98SE not XP. In the hope that this will help I will do my best to explain how I have my set-up. Install SB on the client PC (the one with Internet connection, where you have FSMeteo), not on the server PC. Make sure it installs build 4 and not build 5, although I have heard that build 5 *does* work. You then need to enter a line into the Windows\squawkbox.ini immediately after the {SB} heading; 'WIDESERVER=3' You also need to rename the 'Aircraft.csl' file in FS\aircraft\ to 'Aircraft.cfg' When you start SB and it asks for an IP address to search it seems there are 3 possible entries. 1) Leave it blank, and it should find your MP session (works on my set-up) 2) Enter the IP address of the PC running FS (probably 192.168.x.x) 3) A 'loop back' IP address 127.0.0.1 When SB runs you should see 'WideFS FS2K override active' in red text in the SB window. I assume you have WideFS set up for TCP/IP, as shown in Pete's documents, otherwise I suspect Meteo and Flight Tracker would not work. Hope this helps. If not try a post on the SB support forum and give as much detail as you can on the actual error msg. Rgds
