  1. Peet, I think I have to tell you the whole story right now: 1. I wanted to assing particular controls, buttons, keys and so on to the FSX Acc. F/A-18 2. Every time I selected this a/c FSUIPC supposed the also installed VRS F/A-18 3. I tried several times to select the Acc-Hornet - every time the same 4. I read the section "Multiple INI files" in your document "FSUIPC4 for Advanced Users (for FSUIPC4 Version 4.88, April 2013)" and tried to work with different FSX.EXE files as described 5. I noticed that FSX created new fsx.cfg files even though there WAS a renamed file as you described in your document. 6. Because this procedure didn't work I changed back to the former installation status and from this time the problems began (see installation problem FSUIPC above) 7. After having tried to solve the problem with the registry tool fsx crashed when being started 8. I ran firstly the FSX repair tool from the RTM DVD and noticed later by research that I should have maybe repair the ACC instead (I'm actually not sure right now) 9. After that I ran the ACC DVD repair tool. 10. Thereafter FSX started again 11. FSUIPC installer ran perfectly - but with the above mentioned registration problems. Puh! Lot of text. Do you have an idea what I destroyed...? Didn't work. Tool's message was that it worked succesful. No, I didn't system date is correct. 2. Hi, Peet! Thanks alot for your hint but it didn't work. Finally I had to repair FSX with the Original CD. Now it works - BUT! I'm not able to get a registered version of FSUIPC even though I did the registration via the installer. Installer told me that everything is o.k. but when starting FSX and going to FSUIPC via the FSX menu I get an unregistered copy of FSUIPC. The key file is at it's location with the right entries. I am a little confused about that. Can you help once more? Thank you in advance. Kind regards Robert
  3. Hi, Peet! After having noticed the need to install the new version 4.90 due to the licensing problem I got the following error message from the FSUIPC installer: "Checking version of FSX.EXE: Couldn't obtain version info! Asking user to find FSX.EXE..." When I choose the fsx.exe within the explorer window nothing happens except that this window reopens again. It seem's that the installer couldn't get enough information about the fsx.exe. What can I do? Do I have to reinstall FSX? Kind regards Robert
  4. Hi, Pete! It works, thank you! Always three greens Robert
  5. Thank you for the quick answer, Pete! I'll try it tonight. Kind regards Robert
  6. Hi, Pete! I operate WideClient on a networked PC using it with the button programming feature. I am currently planning to build an extension to my homecockpit using it as a "trainer seat". So i planned to operate another instance of WideClient on my notebook and use it as a "backseater" - but my touch screen doesn't work on my notebook. My idea is to operate the second touch screen on the networked pc and run a further instance of WideClient in order to send the "trainer" commands from the backseat to FSX. Is this possible? Kind regards Robert
