HmmmI'll need more information. It may be a Simconnect problem now, as with SP1 installed FSUIPC passes all that stuff on to Simconnect to handle. Before SP1 FSUIPC had to do it directly itself.

Did the original message, before SP1, scroll, or was it static? Does changing this option in FSX's options change how it behaves?

Can you enable Monitoring (Logging options page in FSUIPC), of offsets 32FA (as type S16) and 3380 (type AsciiZ), and check the "normal log" option below. Then reproduce the problem. Zip up the FSUIPC4.LOG file and send to petedowson@btconnect.com.

    Regards

    Pete

Tks. for your reply I am not very computer literate so bear with me.

The original message was static and would remain for approx. 10 seconds then disappear.

In the FSX options I have information data (Continuous) not sure if this is what your are referring to.

Unsure how to enable a log file.

  2. Hi Peter

I took your suggestion and installed FSUIPC 4.10 (Registered Version)over SP1

I also use ASV6.5 with FSX and after installing 4.10 the weather status bar indicates current weather after ASV downloads the weather as advertised.

The problem is that the status bar does not disappear after several seconds but remains at the top of the screen.

The only way I can get the bar to disappear is to right click on the bar then select close window.

I checked with Jim at Active Sky and his suggestion was to clear weather .

    in FSUIPC.

This still has not changed the status bar from disappearing after you receive the weather.

    Looking forward for any assistance.

  3. Hi Rex

I checked your post both in the My Traffic Forum and also in the Avsim Forum and responded to you in those forum's.

I believe your problem like mine was that we are not puter literate and had problems in understanding the three steps you have to do in order to have My Traffic 2006 work properly with FSX.

With the support from Burkhard, and Husain after several days I did get My Traffic working as advertised.

I believe you wanted a refund from Simmarket and it appears this is what you got.

I do not remember anyone indicating that FSUIPC was the cause of your problems.

Good luck with your future add-ons.

  4. Tks Pete for your quick reply.

I did my first flight using your program with Active Sky and weather looked just fantastic.

The only problem I encounted was that the plane every five or 10 min. would veer sharply to the right then after several seconds would return to its orginal track.

Could this be a result of a setting which I have not set correctly in your program.

I have also posted a similar threat to Jim at Active Sky.

Tks. in advance for any assistance.

  5. Hi Fellow Simmers:

I just installed the registered version of FSUIPC version 4.02.

With the FSUIPC FS9 version there was a button you could program to reduce the taxi winds to 1 knot which I found very helpful with the landings.

I do not see the same buttons in the FSX version 4.02.

Is there someway that I can reduce the winds to the same reduced speed in FSX.

Thanks for any comments and assistance.

  6. Hi Everyone

With only weeks away before the arrival of FSX will there be a new FSNav program which we can purchase which will be compatible with FSX.

I have used this program since its inception and I believe it would be difficult to generate a flight plan without this program.

I fly exclusively with Vatsim via SB.

The following is the way I generate a flight plan to FSNav

I go to Flightaware.com to copy a flightplan, then run that plan through FSBuild which then exports it to FSNav and Sb.

Withouth either FSNav or FSbuild I believe it will be difficult to fly FSX.

    Any comments welcome.

  7. Hi All

I have the latest version of FS Nav 4.7 2005.

When applying Sids and Star to Toronto CYYZ and KDTW Detroit, the Sid and Star which come with the program are outdated.

Is there someway which I can download new Sid and star so that the older version is updated.

I have gone to the Options page and downloaded new Sid and Star, but receive a reply that there are no new Sid and star.

    Thanking anyone for any assistance.

  8. I have just downloaded the above AIRAC 0606 and installed it into FS Nav.

This is the first time I have downloaded the AIRAC what it the next step after it has been installed in FS Nav.

    Tks. for any assistance.

  9. Hi Everyone

I have downloaded the Basis Packet for Sid Star.

The date which comes with this packet I understand will sometime become out of date.

I believe you are supposed to periodically download at another time and delete everything in the Sid and Star folder in FS Navigator.

Is there anywhere that indicates when this download has been updated or do you just check it yourself to see if there are any new Sid and Star.

    Thanks for any assistance.

  10. Hi All:)

I downloaded version 4.7 over version 4.6 and still have some out of date Stars and Sids for the Toronto airport CYYZ which I thought would have been corrected with Version 4.7.

Is there a way I can obtain the newer up to date Stars and Sids. I have gone to options and downloaded the latest Stars and Sids for 4.7.

  11. Hi All

I use the Stars frequently from FSNAV for my approaches into large airports.

I have noticed Red dots beside some of the Stars which I have used.

I believe it may be that I do not have the updated version for that Star.

I do keep the AIRAC Navdata updated each month.

Yesterday flying the Waterloo Approach into Toronto one of the waypoints that was used was GUELF, which infact has been changed to ROKTO.

It appears that the star is outdated.

I thought by keeping up to date with the AIRAC Navdata that this would change the name.

Possibly I am not installing the updates correctly.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

  12. If this is also too difficult, perhaps because of some specialised panel design, the alternative is to "Lock" the display instead, and use the FSUIPC hot key to show and hide it. Of course that would need a registered copy of FSUIPC.

    Regards,

    Pete

Tks for your prompt reply Pete, I do have a registered version and using the Hot Key works just fine.

    Tks. again for your support.

  13. Hi All

I sent this message earlier but appears it did not make the board.

I am flying the L049A Constalation for FS2004 developed by FSDZIGNS.

When I dock the Advsisp panel to the 2D panel it shows up on the Engineers panel when I switch from one panel to the other. I am unable to keep the Advdisp panel docked to just the single panel.

I have checked the options and I am unable to find an option which keeps the Advdisp panel dedicated to the 2D panel.

This is a very minor problem if anyone has an answer would appreciate same.

Hopefully I have explained what is happening.

Thanks for any replys in advance.

  14. This has likely been addressed earlier but thought I would bring it up.

When using Taxi wind with FS2004 I find that when on the ground or on approach that the wind speed fluctuates between 01knots and what ever the current wind is.

    ...

I presently have the registered version FSUIPC 3.30 and using FSMeteo weather.

I've not seen that, and it hasn't been reported elsewhere, but please try FSUIPC 3.40, released a couple of days ago. I am not looking at anything on 3.30, there have been far too many changes since then.

    Regards,

    Pete

Tks. for your reply Pete, I have since installed 3.40 and also checked wind smoothing and the winds remain at 01 knot when I use a hot key to activate the Taxi Winds during take off and landing.

    Have a good one.,

    Kenny G
