Unfortunately this did not solve the problem.
In my example I have created a checklist under one of the Manufactures titles (in this case McDonnell Douglas) Labeled as "Maddog MD82" I saved the pre start checklist and it opens fine and can be called up in the sim. However, when I click on the Start-up tab (or any other tab for that matter) and attempt to add the that portion of the checklist this is what happens...
I can click "Add Start-up" and the smaller checklist dialog box opens.
I add any portion of the checklist into the dialog box, even something as simple as one word like Brakes, and then click the "apply changes" button in the lower right corner of the dialog box.
I am greeted with the "are you sure you want to apply changes to this start-up checklist?
When I click "Yes" the box closes and the checklist is empty and the whole process would start over again as if it never occurred.
It's Very Frustrating! If the problem cannot be solved the program remains worthless.
Please help.

I have a reoccurring problem where FSPS Ultimate Checklist refuses to save the checklists I create. I have the most current version and have been able to create a new checklist and save the pre-start up portion but when I attempt to create any additional lists under the other headings my work will not save. It is VERY annoying to create a long checklist for a complex aircraft like the LHS MD82 only to watch it disappear when you try to save it. This has happened on other aircraft I have tried to create checklists for and renders the product worthless.
I have seen other users post the same issue and the solution offered always seems to be "Send me your Checklist"? If there is a a solution why not post it so others can see how to fix it, or release an update that fixes the issue? It seems early on product support was releasing updates on a regular basis early on, but not any more.
Hope you can get me fixed up because I do like the product especially running the lua scrips inside the sim via fsupic but it's no good if it cant save user created checklists.

You are the Man!
I doubt the space was intentional, I probably just "fat fingered" it on accident. It most likely occurred when I went back in to trap a few controls I missed in my first attempt to capture the aircraft's panel controls?
After this post brought all of those ERJ entries to lite I went back and deleted them and pulled my macro files out into a folder on my desktop and reloaded FSX. This indeed solved the problem too but not knowing which Macro file was causing the problem would have meant creating them again from scratch or testing each until I found the culprit.; either way I probably would have never known why or how it occurred. You not only saved me A LOT of time I am glad that you were able to apply the cure to all in your update so that nobody else has to go through this...Excellent!

I just sent you all the Macro Files I have in my Module folder. I can't explain the runaway ERJ entry but perhaps it holds a clue as this was the aircraft I was using when I first noticed the problem. They released a service pack update and afterward my macros did not seem to work. I created a new macro at that point but it would only last until I rebooted. Later the "ERJ" subtitle disappeared from the list of values when trying to assign a command to a switch; shortly followed by the "Maddog" I couldn't understand what was happening so I contacted you.

Now even when I am in the cockpit of the MD 80 and I select FSUPIC from the alt menu and try to configure a toggle switch when I select the list of values there is no "Maddog" selections to choose it's as if I never created the macro to begin with which is what I cant understand? The same goes for some of my other add ons as well but then again some do show like all of the B377 macros I created for the A2A B377 Stratocruiser.

Sorry, I don't understand this bit. You are saying the macro files are in the FSX Modules folder, yet not listed in the dropdowns, at all? I really don't know how that could happen. Are the files listed in the [MacroFiles] section of the INI file? Maybe something in that area has got corrupted?
Yes, this is what is happening. I created a macro name say ERJ145 and then "Mousetrap" a switch on the overhead panel, test it using the tab key and name it such as logo light and hit enter. I can close out of the mouse trapping section, or even close fsx altogether. I'll then go to my Modules folder and sure enough ERJ145.mcr will be present. I can even open it in notepad and it'll show me the logo light sw offsets I just trapped. However if I go back into FSX and open FSUPIC from the alt drop down menu and attempt to assign that logo light switch command to a toggle switch I cant assign it because the ERJ145 macro does not show in the drop down list of values?
What version of FSUIPC are you using, by the way? You might want to try a later one just in case. Version 4.661 is available in the Download Links subforum.I am using 4.661
Any other ideas? Maybe I should do a complete uninstall re-install but I'm really trying to avoid having to recreate all my macro files and yet if there is some sort of corruption happening here I don't think I want to trust saving them.

Ps. For the record I want to thank you for your contributions to flight simming. I have been building and working on my own home cockpit for several years now and all of it started after purchasing your program which has at times been frustrating but overall quite a rewarding experience.

I'm suffering from an unusual problem and I can't seem to figure out what is going on on my own. My FSUPIC installation had been working flawlessly for over a couple of years now but recently I have been suffering from the following issues. The thing that is really perplexing is that I have not installed any new software or made changes to my FSX install that I can look to and ask, "What changed?" while attempting to troubleshoot it on my own.
What happened is I loaded up one of my favorite payware planes and went to use it but none of the switches I had previously programed were working on my hardware (Go flight and homemade switch panels using a Bonard I/O card as well as kitbashed usb joystick parts). I opened FSUPIC from the drop down toolbar inside FSX and sure enough none of the switches I had assigned were present. I reloaded them all and they worked until for that flight or until I rebooted my machine and then they were unassigned again?
I switched to another payware plane and the same thing occurred.
I then closed FSX and went to the Modules folder and confirmed the macro files were present, they were.
Later I went back and tried to re-assign the buttons again, none of the commands I had previously recorded in the macro were even present in the drop down list of values while trying to assign them to a switch? Even though the Macro is in the modules folder.
As a test I created a new mouse trap macro on a plane I new accepted them. I named the macro something totally different and trapped one switch. I exited out of the mousetrapping routine and tried to assign that command to a switch, however, the macro name I had just created was not in the list of drop down values available? I exited out of FSX opened the Modules folder and sure enough that macro name was present with the one switch I trapped present?
I'm baffled do you have any suggestions?

I have configured my Windows7 home network and installed WideFS in order to run my various applications on the client machine. I believe I have done this correctly. I start Wideclient on my Client machine and then I start up my various programs on the client such as Flight sim Commander. I then start FSX on my server/main fsx machine and after a minute or two the Client machine window changes from waiting for a connection to conection established. I can confirm this by going into FSC and connecting the GPS and it shows my aircraft displayed correctly in the location I have chosen when I start FSX on the server. So with that said I believe I have everything set up correctly however I can't seem to be able to get Active Sky Evolution or Squakbox4 to connect in the same way. Should I be able too? I think both of those programs connect to FSX via Sim Connect and I have been following the directions on ASE to configure accordingly but should I have too? Should WideFS be able to run these as well without going through and setting up the FSX SDK parameters? I'm a little confused?
