Im currently running registed fsiupc4.60 with the latest update 4.669 and also registed widefs7 with wideclient 6.824 all is running sweet but due to no more updates to 4.60 ill prolly have to change to 4.70c my question is will i have to purchase a licence for the new update 4.70c or will my licence for 4.60 work ,also will i have to uninstall 4.60 completely before i install 4.70c as i have all me axis buttons and switches assign will installing this later version muck all this up

    cheers

  2. MM

Tried that and it works! Thanks!

It would be nice to be able to start bat files as well as exe files within Xtreme FSX because when you've got ASE and REX and a few others it starts to get a little complicated.

    Peter

    PH

Rex starts automatically when fsx is started thats how its been written in the exe.xml file ,but yes what your saying is to true its does get very confusing but theres a bloke thats suggested a good feature for fsx extreme for addons written in another thread here ...

  3. Hi

I use FPS Limiter to control Frame rate fluctuations (FPS unilimited is set in FSX) so 2 questions:

    1) Do I still need to use FPS Limiter if I am using Xtreme FSX?

    2) If yes how do I start a "BAT" (FPS_Limiter.bat starts FSX) file within Xtreme FSX? as only provisions for starting "EXE" files are given in the addon sec

    tion.

    Thanks

    PeterH

Currently all ive been doing is for starters put a shortcut of the FPS limiter bat flie on the desttop startup fsx extreme load up the profile you want to use for fsx , minimise fsx extreme and doubleclick on the shortcut of the fps limiter bat file and that will start fsx ,fsx extreme will have full control over fsx .

i dont use the addon function in the fsx-extreme as all me addon programs are operated on another computer so not quite sure on that part youve quoted

  4. yes i can open the shared files of win7 computer from win xp computer ive tried it again and still no go.

just to make it clear my win7 computer can access everything on my winxp computer an vise versa this is the way ive setup fileshareing via homegroup feature

fscommander9 is setup same way for file shareing by assigning drive letters via mapnetwork.

The way ive done fileshareing here achilles is this the correct way to fileshare for FSM

    cheers

  5. Hi,

The program reads fsx position from fsuipc. FSX or FS9 must be running in order the program to connect. Also make sure to have latest version from fsuipc installed. And UAC disabled.

    HI achilles

yes fully understand what you have quoted and yes i always have fsx and fsm running when i try to do this , fsuipc is the latest version v 4664 had this version going a month now and uac has been disabled ever since i first put win 7 64 bit on going 8 months now and to this day i still cant get that function to work ..

Mine you everythig else works flawlessly on the program and IMHO is a great investment, but just cant seem to get this function to work..

  6. The problem appears to lie somewere in the program.see ive got this prob to ive exhausted myself ages ago trying to figure this out to no avail tried everything.

Ive got near same settup as yourself were im running fsmanager on a sepperate computer via widefs what seems to be going on when the 4 step wont work as the program cant find the fsx directory on the other computer thats running fsx ,you see if you push the general info tab in the program make sure both fsm&fsx are running and go down to the bottom right of the page to system tools you will see a tab FS FOLDER push that tab and it will always come up saying on this computer THE PATH'G:MICROSOFT GAMES\MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X\'DOES NOT EXIST OR IS NOT A DIRECTORY .

Well i can state right now that fsx does exits with a directory as of right now im flying fsx atm with flight sim commander9 working on the same computer as fsmanager with widefs ..

with commander your able to prompt the program to were fsx is on anouther computer by assigning a letter to a drive via map network with this program i cant and to this day ive never figured it out what to do.

  7. Hi peter

yes im running win 7 ultimate 64 bit

Ok i did what you recommend ive turned off HT in the bios yes i have fsuipc latest version ram is 8gb at 1600mhz ive moved my original cfg file and let fsx rebuild another restated fsx booster and the problem is still there, bad scenery chunk stutters

    Malleeman

Which Operating system 32 or 64-bit?

You may need to turn of hyperthreading in the BIOS - FSX usually doesn't like HT and that can cause stutters!

Make sure that 'Pause on task Switch' is not ticked in FSX.

I assume your RAM is 8GB and around 1600MHz, otherwise at 8GHz it's blazingly fast  ?

    Are you running FSUIPC4?

Move your FSX.cfg file to a safe location and then start FSX so it can rebuild a new fsx.cfg file - still get the problem?

    Regards

    PeterH

  8. Hi

Lately after installing a few of these booster updates ive been getting very bad scenery chunk stutters and even freezing for about 5 seconds or so ,is there a way of fixing this .

    cheers

  9. ok i use PETER DOWSON'S FSUIPC program to control all my axis and button switches i dont use the control settings in fsx now all the save control axis and button switch settings i have saved in FSUIPC are all out of wack when i installed the new version 2.0.0.0 of fsx booster,so i installed the previous version again 1.5.0.0 and everything was back to normal
