Switch hardware and encoder

Hi. I don't understand if is possible to interface an hardware switch or encoder with fsuipc to workan macro? I know how do it with keyboards, but I have to use a hardware to operate macros FSUIPC. Sorry for my english and thanks a lot in advance. Ciao. Rossano
