  1. Hello Pete, How have you been?

My CH Yoke broke down. one of the plastic pods where the spring attaches broke. I tried to use epoxy but it did not work.

I ordered a new Saitek pro flight, and while i was waiting for it to arrive, I decided to use a logitech extreme 3d pro in the mean time.

I could not get the views to work. All planes start up in the look forward up position. I go back to views options. I select cockpit and the look forward option, and then I will retun to the normal view. looking forward and seeing the panel. after two seconds it switches back to the forward up position by itself.

I thought that it was probably a broken joystick. Today I received the new controller. I was able to assign the axis and calibrate them correctly in FSUIPC,but it still does the same thing with the views/

I am using FSUIPC, and have the joystick disabled in FS9. I have tried enabling the joystick in FS9 but it does not work.

At this stage believe that my FSUIPC files were probably corrupted when I plugged in the old logitech extreme joystick

I remember once that my FSUIPC was corrupted, and you told me to delete some files and restart FS9 and those files were re-generated.

Which were those files? to see if that solves the issue.

    Thanks and regards

  2. Hi X-Man,

Thanks for your reply. If this is not affectinganybody else is probably pilot error. I don’t have FSX, I have FS2004. I amprobably doing something wrong with the placement of the add on scenery filesand their respective AFCADS. I have tried different ways and they have notworked.

    1. I have placed my addon scenery on FS9\AddonScenery\, leaving the AFCAD in the scenery folder of the new airport. Then Iactivated the new scenery within FS2004. Then I run the FSC9 to update thedatabase. It worked correctly in FS2004 as I can see the AI planes parking onthe new AFCAD spots and taxing via the new taxiways. In the Map view of FSC 9.0I still see the old default scenery, no new Parking or taxiways, and in somecases not the new runways as is the case in SCEL.

    2. I have placed the new addon scenery folder inthe FS9\Addon Scenery, moving the AFCAD to the FS9\Addon Scenery\ Scenery folder, and activated within FS2004.Onceagain it works fine in FS20004 but I do not see the changes to the airport inthe map view of FSC 9.0

    3. I have placed the new Add on Scenery outside ofthe FS2004 folders (K:\SCENERIES) and activated the scenery in FS2004 (This Ihave done both leaving the new AFCAD along with its corresponding airport otherscenery bgl folders and also moving the AFCAD to K:\FS9\Addon Scenery\Sceneryfolder) In both cases the AFCAD is recognized correctly by FS2004 but not byFSC 9.0

In your reply you mentioned that in FSX is important thatthe scenery show up in the scenery.cfg in the correct order. This is a correctorder in relation to what? I understand that sometimes a scenery comes withAirport folders, landclass folders and others, and in that case the order inwhich they are added is important. If I have all my AFCADS in the defaultFS9/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, would this folder need to be higher than theother airport addon folders? It does not seem to matter in FS2004.

In regards to your last comment:

#1. Copy the folder containing the AFCAD .bgl file into your 3rd partyscenery folder.

#2. Start FSX, go to the settings tab on the leftof the start up screen.

#3. Go into your Scenery Area, and click on Add Area, point to thescenery folder of your "3rd party addon scenery" folder then click onthe new folder, when it open the folder, click on blank white area then OK. Scenerywill be installed.

Note: if a dialog popup box doesn't say either this file alreadyexists or this files has been added, THE AFCAD HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLEDCORRECTLY!!!

I do get the message that the scenery is already installed. And itsworking correctly in FS2004, is just the the view map of FSC9.0 still shows thedefault AFCAD

    I don’t understandyour last comment:

“The goal is to have your new AFCAD (AFX***.bfg orADEX***.bfg) have higher priority than the defult (APX***.bfg)”

Does it applyto FS2004? All my files are BGL’s what priority are you referring to?

    Thanks again for your help.

    Juan

Juan - Since all my 3rd party airports work fine and I also run FSC 9 on a server with nothing installed on my client but FSX - I will call this user error.

    1. Make sure you have installed the new AFCADs correctly to your FSX scenery library and show up in the scenery.cfg in the correct order.

    2. Double check that your saved scenerycfg.fsc is replacing the older version.

    3. Make sure you run the update FSCDbManager after you verify 1&2.

To make sure you are adding the AFCAD files correctly:

    If you have Windows 7:

#1. Copy the folder containing the AFCAD .bgl file into your 3rd party scenery folder.

#2. Start FSX, go to the settings tab on the left of the start up screen.

#3. Go into your Scenery Area, and click on Add Area, point to the scenery folder of your "3rd party addon scenery" folder then click on the new folder, when it open the folder, click on blank white area then OK. Scenery will be installed.

Note: if a dailog popup box doesn't say either this file already exists or this files has been added, THE AFCAD HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY!!!

The goal is to have your new AFCAD (AFX***.bfg or ADEX***.bfg) have higher priority than the defult (APX***.bfg).

  3. Hi Volker, Thank you very much for your reply. I have read the instructions you sent me, and I have follow them correctly. I believ you got confused with the description of my problem when I say FS9 I meant Flight Simulator 2004, not FSC9.0, as the solution you mentioned pertain to FSX not to FS2004 which is much simpler since the scenery.cfg file is in the main folder.

Also the Scenery Library Network Tool is a FSX only tool. it does not apply to my problem.

. I installed FSC 9.0on a networked computer that has one hard drive and one partition. I installed in C:\FSC\.. UAC has been turned off.AndI installed it and run always as Administrator. I also have FSUIPC 3.99 andWideFs 6.86 both installed as administrator.

In regards to the renaming of the scenery cfg.fsc file, I have never manually edited or renamed that file. I also have the suppress known file types disabled.

I have no problems updating the Database, I can see its working because it changes the date of the corresponding folders to the one on which I updated the database.

It just does not recognize many of the updated airports.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Juan

    Hi Juan,

    very important,

    1. have you read this: http://forum.simflig...rs-please-read/

and also very important in your case

    2. please read the manual, chapter Database Manager, paragraph Updating airports for FS X in a network and also the information about the tool: Scenery Library Network Tool (FSCFSXCFG.exe).

The information and its implementation solves your problems.

    Regards,

    Volker

  4. FSC 9.0 is not recognizing the modified AFCAD's of several of my Add on Sceneries

I have FS9 on a Windows 7 64 bit installed and run as administrator, with UAC off.

FSC9.0 is installed on a networked computer via Wide FS. I have both registered copied of the latest FSUIPC and WIDEFs.

I have a flight simulator dedicated hard drive on my FS9 computer. I have mounted that complete hard drive on the network

I have no problems saving and loading flightpland to and from FS9

I have no problems updating the FS9 database via FSCDbManager.exe

The modified Afcads are all recognized and working correctly in FS9.

Here attached is an example of a small airport BGBW both from the FSC9 AFCAD and from the FSC map. notice the red cross airs where my plane is located.

The FSC9 map shows only the FS default afcad with 4 parkings. and the addon shows 8 parking spaces. FS9 AI aircraft use all 9 parking spaces.

Am I doing something wrong? My previous FSC 8.6 version never had this problem.

    Thanks

    Juan

  5. Hi Pete, I did but since I did not have issues with my joystick before, the the two middle calibration boxes for the aileron were exactly the same, leaving no null zone, yesterday I re-calibrated creating a null zone, and now it works perfectly.

    Regards,

    Juan

It's a major part of the essential steps in calibrating any axis, the numbered ones you should have followed in the Joystick Calibration section of the User Guide. If you've never noticed this you've really not calibrated anything properly.

    Regards

    Pete

  6. You are still going to go to back to the upper menus,to disconnect them, or you will taxi dragging the generator and air start down the tarmac (lol).

    Juan

    Hi John,

There are no key assignments available in the iFly 737 for those functions. The SDK is now released so if you are into programming you might have a look there.

The least complicated method to achieve what you want is to save a flight with ground air and electrical connected then use that as your iFly 737 start up flight.

  7. Hi Pete, In regards to my issues with the Ifly Boeing 737;after many tests and hours of testing , they were able to figure out what was wrong. My throttles did not respond to any automatic input either from the FMC or the MCP, only the physical movement of the throttles. It turns out that it was the fact that I used a USB hub to connect my CH Yoke, pedals and throttle quadrant, to the PC. Once I plugged in the throttles directly to one of the computer's available USP port, the throttle issues were gone. Interesting is the fact that I never had an issue with my throttles connected to the USB Hub, but it works. One of the other issues that I still have is the autopilot and/or LNAV disconnects. I realized that the Ifly 737 is extremely sentitive to joystick input, and sometimes merely brushing the yoke could cause a disconnect. The problem is that is pretty hard to use the POV HAT to move through your views without disconnecting the autopilot. Is it possible to increase the null zone of the aileron axis in order to reduce the diconnects? Could you tell me how is it done, or point me to where in the manual I can find the process?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Juan

    Good. Happy flying! ;-)

    Regards

    Pete

  8. Hola Felix, Creo que Pete no esta entendiendo la informacion que estas buscando. Si quieres me lo explicas en espanol y yo le pregunto a el.

    Saludos

    Juan

Pete, I believe there is a language barrier here, I asked Felix to explain to me what he wants, so I can explain it to you later.

    Regards

  9. No worries Pete, You have been more than helpful.

This is the latest reply I got.

Juan, The issue is 100% hardware related, unfortunately, I can't see what happening with your setup but my guess would be a conflict between FS and FSUIPC.

    and here is my reply:

Steve, with all due respect, why do I have a conflict now between FSUIPC and FS, when I have been flying for thousands of hours using PMDG B744-400, PMDG B737, PMDG MD11, Level D 767, Flight 1 ATR-72-500, Wilco Embraer 145. and I have never have a conflict between them, I have never had a runaway plane as I do now.

I was able to fix my DLL issues, and FS is back to normal. I have been using FSUIPC and WIDEFS for while now and I its the most stable and useful program I have, Since its a behind the scenes program people don't know how much it can do. No fancy graphics, or bells and whistles, but rock solid performance

    Thanks again Pete.

    Juan

  10. Thanks for your reply Pete, here below attached is the reply that they gave me in relation to FSUIPC.

In any event, I have saved on another disc a full previous installation of FS9, I went and I copied all of those dll's over into the modules and replaced the corrupted ones, but when I restarted I got the same error messages.

    Thanks for your reply Pete

    Juan

    Hi Juan,

It looks like you have a corrupt download. What your seeing is not normal behaviour. Can I ask if you read this post http://ifly.flight1....s-after-reading

We need a bit more information from you to be able to offer accurate help. If you downloaded with Google Chrome you will have issues. This product because there are so many models has 21 gauges and all it takes is for one of those to be corrupted.

I am guessing you are using Vista or Windows 7 because you mentioned UAC and right clicking on the installer to run as Admin. Please make sure there is no other malware or nay kind of protection on.

Another issue we get happend when the install is done in the 1st instance without the correct permissions UAC and Admin and the registered fsuipc gets corrupted and we see loads of issues.

If you backup all your current FSUIPC files to a safe area reinstall FSUIPC and see how things work.

If you stick with it we will get there. Information is King for us and thats why that posts asks for full system details and details of your gaming hardware.Cheers

    Juan

    Thank you for your reply.

I will learn about the "Ultimste Traffic 2".

This information might be very useful for me.

I wish to express my gratitude deeply for having offered me the valuable information.

    Regards.

  12. Hello Pete how are you?

I recently purchased and installed the IFly Boeing 737 for FS2004. I downloded and installed, and I was having several issues. After I contacted them they told me that it was probably due to the fact that I have downloaded the software using Goocle Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, and that I also installed as a user not as the administrator. I unisntalled it downloaded again and I was having different issues (VNAV mode not climbing over 10,000 ft). They told me that sometimes FSUIPC gets corrupted and that I needed to reinstall it.

I created a folder in the desktop where I cut and pasted from the modules folder in FS the following files:

    FSUIPC Install.log

    FSUIPC.dll

    FSUIPC.ini

    FSUIPC.log

Then I executed the following file "Install FSUIPC.exe" installing FSUIPC 3.98

Then I registered using my registration, I did the registration for both FSUIPC and WideFS, even though I had not uninstalled Wide FS.

Then I installed Ifly Boeing 737 again. I rebooted the PC and then I try to enter FS2004 and I get the following message:

    Error FS9

Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or Sotware will be disabled

    File: CONTROLS.DLL,

I pressed OK then I get a similar message , this time the missing File is : DEMO.DLL

I pressed OK again and i got the message this time the missing File is : FACILITIES. DLL

Kept on pressing OK and the rest of the files missing or corrupted are:

    FE.DLL, FLIGHT.DLL, INSTRUCTOR.DLL, MAIN.DLL, MULTIPLAYER.DLL, SYMMAP.DLL, WEATHER.FLL

Then I got the following message:

    ERROR-FS9

The 'K:\FS9\MODULES\CONTROLS.DLL' file is missing or damaged

Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the file.

    Flight Simulator will now quit

What could have caused this? and is there any way to fix, or restore this files without having to reinstall everything?

    Thanks for your help

    Juan G. Ducaud
