  1. Thanks Fabio for the reply and explanation. Those of us who first purchased Pro-ATC-X air traffic controller program know fully well that programs like these continue to be under development for some length of time after release. I'm guessing it was maybe 2 years for Pro-ATC but they finally got a rather nice product. Another problem I have though. Sometimes my plane crashes (hits an object) when I'm recording or replaying. It might be related to low altitude flight but I'm not sure. Today I tried to record flying under the Golden Gate Bridge. I made it under the bridge okay but when I tried to add power to climb back up, the recording stopped to a black screen and FSR reported that my plane had crashed (hit an object). MSFS and FCR continued running and gave me the option to restart my flight. Visually, I had easily cleared bridge (but don't know about the bounding boxes). This has happened on numerous occasions but usually during replay, not while recording. Has anyone else experience this and is there a work around?
  2. I wasn't pressing FLY NOW after starting the replay. All is well except I'm still struggling to understand some aspects of the program.
  3. At the moment I'm only interested in "replay", not cinematic recording. I want to record my takeoff and/or landing and then watch it from a specific camera position. But I just can't figure it out. When I first started the replay, I could not access any camera controls. Pressing the camera button in MSFS wouldn't bring up anything so I couldn't position the camera. Eventually as the replay progressed I was able to access the camera modes but the replay was well into the flight with the plane just about clearing the end of the runway. Not what I wanted. When I recorded a landing and then replayed it, I was never able to access the camera controls while the replay was playing. I must be missing a very basic understanding of this program. What am I missing?
  4. Play back crashes MSFS I am able to record a flight but when I load the *.fcr file into FlightControlReplay, the replay starts. It plays for a 30 seconds or so and then crashes MSFS to desktop. I started the recording after the introductory portion when the plane is lined up on the runway ready for takeoff. But when the replay starts, it starts with the introductory portion (when you first press FLY NOW) but in this portion the plane is not visible. The plane then appears and after a second or two MSFS crashes.
  5. I'm assuming you bought it at SimMarket. Sign into your SimMarket account, go into your previous orders, open up the order where you bought version 4.0. The download for that original order has been replaced by version 4.5.
  6. Even if it's not correct I don't have much faith in Asobo producing a "complete" product. Their thought process really is questionable. They put out a flight simulator without a replay option. They include the ability to increase or decrease simulation rate but don't display the what the rate is or a way to return to the normal rate. They don't include the ability to open multiple windows...etc. etc. etc.
  7. But valentine's day is only 7 days away. I was trying to suggest to him a firm date to shoot for instead of just "a little while longer". But it is what it is. We just gotta be patient.
  8. Thanks for the reply Thomas. I had tried without the CH Control Manager but couldn't get the CH Quadrant to calibrate properly. The first two levers actually show up in the Windows API as a single joystick with an X and Y axis (have not idea why). The calibration would trip out when I tried to calibrate those two levers. That's why I thought the CH Control Manager was necessary. This morning I started all over. I uninstalleld CH Control Manager, reinstalled FSUIPC, calibrated in the Windows API (the first two levers still show up as a single joystick but it worked this time) and yes the problem is solved. Thanks for your help.
  9. I have the latest registered version of FSUIPC installed. I just installed a CH Products Throttle Quadrant and I have been struggling for days to calibrate the throttles. I have calibrated the throttle quadrant device with the CH Control Manager software per the instructions. When I do, all 6 levers show a smooth continuous change in output value as I move the levers from full back, through the detent to full forward. When I then assigned the two left levers to Throttle1 and Throttle2 and calibrate in FSUIPC, Throttle 1 shows a smooth continuous change in input/output as I move it from full back to full forward. But Throttle 2 doesn't. It's input/output values increase much more rapidly to about half way of the lever movement where if maxes out at the high calibration value. This does NOT occur if I assign the throttles to the middle two or the right two levers so this would indicate a hardware problem except that in the CH Control Manager software all 6 levers show to be operating properly and therefore would indicate this is not a potentiator problem. If I remove the two left lever assignments and calibrations from FSUIPC and assign as throttles and calibrated them directly in P3DV4. They work fine. So the problem is only within FSUIPC again indicating that this is not a hardware problem. Another unexpected results is that the SLOPE response curve behaves differently for any lever assigned as throttle. The curve remains linear up to about 50% of it's travel. The slider to change the shape of the curve only affects the top half of the curve. Again this occurs regardless of which lever is assigned as the throttle. If the levers are assigned as Prop Pitch or Mixture the slope adjustment acts as expected. (This may be as Pete designed it but I'm not sure why that might be the case). I've never seen these problems with my single throttle/no detent device I used for many years (also a CH Products device) I've deleted the FSUIPC.ini file and let the software generate a new one with the same results. Any thoughts?
