  1. All I can say is I've used Michaels service in the past and plan to use it again with my new machine.

    He was very professional, courtious and knowledgable and the improvement to my FS experience was well worth the small fee.

    Ady, I understand your frustration but I do believe this type of service is not for you. Michael is 100% correct IMHO when he says the trust has to be there. You must be willing to follow the recommendations given or time and recources would simply be spent "debating" every step of the way.

  2. I posted in the Misty Moorings forum also so won't go throught the whole post here. To sum it up. Thanks Holger and company for a fantastic add-on! The beauty of this scenery is mind blowing. I've never been much of a "lets look at the scenery" kind of flyer but this package has changed that. Your efforts and the efforts of those developing the enhancement packages like Misty Moorings are appreciated far beyond what you can imagine.

  3. OK, after much "gnashing of teeth" deciding if I was going to spend this much $$$ on a scenery add-on, I decided to go for it. All I can say is FANTASTIC!

    I purchased yesterday and have flown with it for about two hours so far. I haven't been able to get more than 5 miles away from Detchikan International yet because there is so much to see. Simply amazing!

    My only compaint is that I normally fly from the cockpit 99% of the time. With this scenery, I find myself fly from outside about 80% of the time. This has already caused me to crash into mountains twice because I'm paying more attention to the surroundings than I am flying :oops:

    Get over it. Your first post in the thread was simply something that should have been done via e-mail IMHO. Anyone reading it would have got the impression that Michaels work was sub-standard, and that is just simply not so. And yes, you do show your age with your posts! Not insulting your intelligence, just making an observation on how you display it. And honestly, I could care less personally if you ever get FS working like you wish, and the fact is, you probably won't if you can't keep your hands off the settings.

    Now go ahead and ramble on if you wish. I'm through here.

    I would assume if Michael said this he meant come back after RAM upgrade because there were other things he could do if you had additional RAM. The "stupidity" part was because it's obvious by your settings that you changed them from what Michael had suggested and then came on a public forum to "complain" about the service. Unfair to Michael and FSGS IMHO.

    Not really my business, but I read your original post and am really at a loss. I have used this service way back in January and Michael helped tremendously on my machine. He also helped me a second time about a month ago with some additional, new tweaks to my system and while he was at it, he found several virus' and helped me get rid on them, (at no additional cost may I add) I have been happy as can be with my system performance and what Michael was able to do with my machine was very, very impressive. I have a high end machine by the way. The big thing is, I left everything where Michael told me to and it works like it is supposed to. The settings you gave for your video card are not even close to what Michael would recommend. You change them on your own, then come to the forum and post that it's screwed up after Michaels service. :oops:

    Ridiculous!!! Then you don't ask for help with a video problem because of your RAM! Whoa. Hopefully someone can help you. But don't blame Michael for your stupidity.

    I know a while back you said you would try to correct the air file for the PMDG 737 so it works properly with AC Loader. Have you thought any more about this?

    Specifically, all sliders maxed, and I mean all, except view distance for me is set at 60 miles because I like it that way. Everything else maxed. Agin, frame rates, I don't have a clue, but I have no stutters, pauses, etc. Everything is very smooth and fluid. The image quality is fantastic, I use Active Sky and some of the most complex aircraft add-ons most of the time. (PMDG737NG, SSW A310) I have done all the tweaks, etc that are on the different FS sites to varying success. Michael worked with me about 3-4 months ago and I have touched NOTHING on my settings etc since then.

    It's a shame that folks like yourself apparently approach things with a "give me proof" attitude and then you don't want to accept the "proof" that's in front of your face. I have also used this service, and Mr. Greenblatt does indeed do everything that is claimed. I have posted a couple of the other FS Forums in response to folks badmouthing this service when they don't have a clue what it's about. Frame rates, in my humble opinion, don't mean squat. Period. You judge smoothness by just that. Smoothness. I have a very high end system that I was happy with (I thought), but I read about this service and figured, what the heck I'll try it. Like I said on a couple of my other posts on different forums, I just thought I had my machine running FS at the best possible combination. I have been messing with FS since the old SubLogic days and computers longer than that. I can tell you that Mr.Greenblatt improved my FS experience ten fold. But, and I mean this sincerely, some folks I'm sure can't be satisfied or convinced of anything. For those people, it's probably more trouble and aggravation for Michael to mess with than it's worth. Michael spent a solid four hours with me and the results were astounding. No one ever asked me for payment prior to doing the service. In fact they never asked at all! I had to send an e-mail to find out how to pay for the service about three days after Michael helped me. Does that sound like a group that is just "after your money. I don't thinks so.

  10. I used the service just yesterday. Let me tell you, if you want the most astounding experience you could have with FS possible, use this service! Michael spent between 5 and 6 hrs with me and the difference in the image quality and smoothness are incredible. Michael takes a full inventory of your software and through Q and A, you arrive on what you really need/should have. Then the fun part starts. He spends an enormous amount of time walking you through changes, tweaks and adjustments to your operating sytem and FS to get the most out of it. The "final product" I ended up with was so much better in quality and performance that it really was hard to believe. I have a fairly new, very high end machine so the hardware I have was good. If you need some hardware changes, Michael will give you some good pointers.

    WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Treat yourself to a Christmas present. I have spent literally thousands of $$ on hardware and add-ons for FS over the years, but this is without a doubt the best $$ I have spent.

  11. Have ya'll tried the full screen, windows, full screen moves without running any of the add-ons. Mine gives me the same black screen even without running any of the add-ons. I found a cure that works for me. use the "Windows" key on your keyboard if you have on. I start FS2004, then I use the windows key and start FS Meteo. Then I can maximize the FS2004 taskbar icon and get back into full screen mode. Works like a charm for me. Give it a try.
