  1. Hello Peter,

how are you? After 10 years working with my cockpit, i had an idea to install a small TFT screen left to Captain's seat to control Squawkbox, Weather, Charts, etc. When i installed i remembered that i have seen in Widefs manual the option to have a screen with buttons and use them to communicate with fsuipc and fs. I great option that widefs offer !!! ;-)

So, i made a button screen and i'm using it for many functions, (like contolling AES, GSX, etc). Until this point everything is working and i made many other buttons to work with no problem.

But, for control the doors i have problem, because i'm using only the letter E for doors and by pressing E+1 i control the main exit No1, pressing E+2 the exit2 and E+3 the exit3.

My problem is thta i can't select a combination for E plu 1 when button pressed. In Fsuipc's buttons tab, i can only have the letter E but not the letter E with the number 1 or 2 together.

I tried to find some information reading the manuals, but i only found some commnads only for keypresses not buttons. Do i have to edit the fsuipc.ini for these?

    Summarize:

I want to have a joystick's button sending the E+1, or E+2, or E+3 keypresses to FSX, to open/close exits No1 to 3.

    Thanks a lot

  2. Hi,

i have the FI's Overhead kit, running last years with PmSystems.

Today i tryed to make them work with iFly737 with the iFlytoFsuipc module, giving offsets from/to iFly737.

As FI's software does not include any 737 Boeing's overhead gauges, i have to insert new offsets (these for iFly737) and connect them with functions, then with gauges, right?

Please can you help me with this, because last 3 hours i didn't found the way?

ie:: The offset 949D Length2, is for read the iFly737's APU EGT.

How can I program s/w to make the gauge 180 to display APU EGT ?

    Thanks in advance

    Eddie

  3. Peter,

    thanks for your reply.

Of course i have to respect your choices and of course i wish you, always enjoy your flights and holidays :D

I don't think you are 66years old, but 66years young, (still enjoying Fs flights)

I hope that someone else will start this new effort for connect X-Plane and "others" and maybe you could help him, and give him your advices.

    regards

  4. Hello Peter,

after the latest bad news from MS about FS project,

but also after the latest X-Plane versions and new features

    .................

many of us, asking, if it will possible to have a X-Fsuipc module, which will be the intermediate between X-Plane and PM's offsets. So in this way we can also have the option to select X-Plane for our small or large home cockpits, based in PM's software.

Also this new module could help all the other software or hardware products, today running for MS-FS9 or FSX to support also X-Plane.

    Some threads about this :

    http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/showthread.php?t=14848

Do you think, that it could be possible ? If you agree, can you please check this option with Austin Meyer ?

I will be ready to help as possible.

    Best regards

  5. Hello Simbuff,

sorry to say, but it seams that you don't want to see the whole image and where the problem is, neither to find a way to solve it and improve your products :(

My first problem is that i was expecting to buy and receive "a plug and play product" for a compatible overhead, because you are writing in your site and your pdf, that is compatible with Engravity's OVH but is not.

Is not compatible because i have to make tricks and find other ways to mount them. If you was writing in your site, that only the openings are compatible and the end-user has to use double side tapes or glue etc i could not ask you anything, right? But when i'm paying the money you are asking for (and is not a low budget product), i expect that the production company has made a R&D to offer me the best value for money product without issues and surprises!!

The second problem, is because you don't want to make something to fix or improve the current status.

You could very easy to use the gauge as is and simple make new front plexies just the 2 front layers so they fit to Engravity's holes, because there is no problem with openings, as i said. It is a simple way and not with additional high cost for you.

The aluminium backplate, in Engravity's Performance line overhead is nothing new, it is just the aluminium where the plexi panels are mounting on it and this aluminium has the openings and screw holes for your gauges.

You have the luck to be in the same country with Engravity, so it is not so difficult to collaborate with Engravity to find where the problem is. Both companies you are working in the same category and offering high quality products in the same people.

Please take time to re-think my proposal for fix the current issues and i believe that this will be an additional advantage for your, as your products already have a high quality of construction  .

    My best regards

  6. Hi,

before 2 days i receive from FlightIllusions my order with overhead kit with all overhead's gauges and 1 interface module.

This week-end i tried to mount them in my overhead. BUT i realized that they are not compatible with Engravity's Performance line panels.

Only the APU's EGT and Cabin Climb they fit perfect with Engravity's aluminium backplate and into holes for screws.

ALL the others they don't :(

The Fuel Temp gauge has a misalignment and all the rest gauges they can't be mounted with any screw !! There is no relation between the gauge's front plexi and holes with Engravity's aluminium backplate.

This problem has nothing to do with different dimensions in openings. The DIFF PRESS gauge has the right opening with Engravity's BUT the plexi is smaller, so the holes are not in the correct place with screw holes from aluminium !

When i place an order to a company that write in his site that this product "Fits with Engravity panels" i expect to pay them, receive them, mount them and finally connect them to work with PmSystems without a problem.

I'm not obliged to troubleshooting again and again for products they offered ready to run. I don't use a custom overhead, not a noname, but the overhead it suppose to be 100% compatible.

I wonder if you have in your company an Egravity's overhead panel to test your products !!

How a will mount them? With a glue? With double side tape? And what i will do with the screw holes they remaining open without screw? What will happen if a gauge will be removed from glue and will fall and crash?

I don't want to trying discover again the wheel !!!

Sorry, to say, but I'm very disappointed

Maybe the products from FlightIllusions have a high quality as a mechanical construction, but gentlemen, if you were also in my position you was feeling in the same way.

As i 'm reading now in this forum, i'm not the first one having this problem

    and

because i suppose you want to continue selling this kit as "compatible with Engravity's OVH",

    and

because i expect from you to have a good after sales support,

    i'm asking you

to find a way to fix the problem,

finding a solution (maybe with others front plexies) so to make fit the rest gauges from OVH kit with Engravity's product.

I will be available to give you any information you want, (like pictures etc) but you can also find your information from Engravity's support and pdf manuals from their site

    Waiting a solution from you,

    Eddie Armaos

PS. I have not tried yet to test the gauges that they are working, but i believe thay i will not have such a problem. I will do it next weekend.

  7. Hi,

i have Fsbus system (hardware & software) and i use it to read & write in Fsuipc offsets for Fs2004 & PM.

So, i made my pedestal and trying to setup the ADF2 i found that even if i was using the correct offset (02d4) i was receiving the ADF1 freq.

I tryed to declare the ADF2 in the same way as Dirk has the ADF1 in std FsBus setup.

I know that there are 2 offsets for ADFs, if there is not Fs or Fsuipc problem maybe there is something wrong in Fsbus.

I'm just asking if anyone else had the same problem, or if the ADF2 is not working 100%.

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

some time ago somebody said to me, that when i'm updating the fsuipc to new version, i have to delete before all the fsuipc files in modules directory and the same with all the new widecleint versions.

Is this right? I'm wrong? I have to delete them?

If yes, my (not real big) problem, is that i have to re-enter my custom settings for fsuipc for joystick buttons, axes, spoilers, reverses etc.

Is there any other way to do the update to don't loos all this information?

    Thanks

  9. Peter your answer came faster than the better customer care htline suppoert :D !!

As i see it was my mistake, as i thought that these offsets had to be values like on/off for Green Nose light  .

So i will try to make it with those offsets you already have by using the 0-16383 range.

    Thanks a lot

  10. Hi Peter,

first i want to thank you for you excellent job and continuous efforts for FS.

I still use Fs2002 and i need your help.

I try to make with FsBus some experiments with simple extrernal h/w devices to read or write from/to FS.

I'm looking the offset values for the following announciators (i didn't found them in SDK maybe i don't know how to search them :!: )

    1) Green / Red light for Nose, Left, Righ Gear (in total 6 different leds)

    2) Les Flaps Transit / Les Flaps Ext (2 leds)

    Thanks
