  1. Hi Jan,

Fiber Accelerator is not only a "give you frames" application. Its job is to :

    1) "Trying to give you the target frame rate when you are on a difficult situation"

    2) "If you are on an easy situation tries to gives you the best possible graphics at max distance, keeping the frame rate" and

    3) "If it can keep the target frame rate AND the best possible graphics THEN give further frames".

    So

on 1) As you say you are OK. Difficult airport... Gives you frames sacrificing visuals you cannot see.

    2) On air situation should be easier but in your case is not. I am sure while flying your CPU terrain power is not staying at 100%. If it was you would go to situation 3)

In other words... you are on "Phase 2) " but not yet on phase 3) ...

Thank you for this reply! Now I understand better what it does.

Well, back to the cockpit :)

    Best regards

  2. Hello!

I am using Fiber Accelerator every time I fly now and it is doing a very good job indeed. Never had so smooth approaches on heavy add-on airports.

However a question. Although FA does a very good job at keeping the fps up when closing in on heavy scenery, it seems as if it on the same time keeps the fps down when it wouldn't have to.

Example: I have my fps-lock set to 30 and the low fps-limit to 18 in FA. When taxing and approaching EGLL it keeps the fps up to about 18. If I close FA i only get about 10. But in air it also keeps the fps to about 18, but if I close FA the fps goes up to 29. I have noticed this in many other situations for example on airports which normally are not very demanding it keeps the fps down, but when closing FA the fps goes up.

Is FA supposed to keep the fps down when the computer can manage fps up to near the fps-lock? Is it something I am missing?

And thank you very much for the support I have been given so far to get this software going :)

    Best regards
