We may... however we never speculate on release dates. No "soon" no "certain date" 😉

I wouldn't dream of asking - I know how it goes.  I have a few friends that fly the EMB (they call it the ERJ) for SkyWest and Compass that may be able to help.

  2. Hi Vic,

It's been too long.  Yep, every now and then I get time to fire up P3D and see what I'm missing in the real world.  Looking forward to the ERJ series updates (if that's happening)!

    Thanks,

    Mark

  3. Understandable. You know what I really like about the scenery you guys put out? You're willing to revisit them to update and enhance them. Some developers aren't willing to revisit "old" scenery. I really don't like that type of attitude; and from a business venture stance - if people have loved the older version and are requesting updates, logic deems that the updated version will be sold just as much, if not more. OK, off my soapbox... Outstanding job to you and Jon, and Holger and the rest of the people out there I'm forgetting!

  4. I'm a pretty big fan of the Deadliest Catch, as I'm sure at least a few on here are. I'm wondering if there are any plans to enhance or create the scenery around the Dutch Harbor area. I've checked out the forum here and there isn't anything on Dutch. Checked out AVSIM and the only thing is a mesh file from FS2002. RWY12 stuff is alright, but I was seeing if there are any "better quality" scenery out there or in the works.

  5. I'm having the same problem, though the front doors still don't work. I can get the rear door and the side passenger doors to open but when I click on the door handles for the pilot and co-pilot the door shutters and then stays closed. Is this a bug?

I tried that but clicking the door handly on the pilot or copilot doors does nothing here. I'll check it again.

Edit: Now it works. Strange, I've done nothing different. I can open all doors now, the front oney via the handle and the rear ones and the aft door using hotkeys. The handle on the rear doors open the aft door though. Thanks for the tip.

  6. Neeraj,

Sorry I didn't catch you on Sunday. I hurt my back pretty bad. I was actually on my way out to the airport when I hurt it. However I did track you on FlightAware. Great pictures by the way. I'm going to have you as my 1st officer when I go flying to take all those great pictures. Hope you enjoyed San Diego. Did you get to see any of the sights here? If you have more pictures, send them my way.

Next time I'm up in the Oakland area (my brother lives and goes to school in San Francisco) I'll let you know. Perhaps we can do some hanger talk.

  7. Hey Guys - Just bought, downloaded and installed the Lionhart Quest Kodiak the other day. I'm getting about 9-10 fps on a:

    Intel 2.0GHz CPU

    2GB RAM

    Radeon 9800 512MB Graphics Card

    Not great but adequate

The Kodiak is a great plane and I love the glass cockpit. It is a tad slow though. 180knots max cruise isn't a whole lot better than the Cessna 172. Yeah, I know, it's a utility aircraft and ain't designed for speed. However, the STOL capability works real well, particularly at Emma. AND, I've put that rugged landing gear to good use on several landings :-)

    BillC .....

180kts is much faster than a Cessna 172, have you flown a 172?!

  8. What type of aircraft are you flying? VFR or IFR, I'm assuming VFR. Pick up a LA sectional and terminal charts. There is VFR corridor routing through LAX, well actually just to the west of LAX. Watch out for the restricted area near San Onofre and Camp Pendelton, then it's pretty much a straight shot down to my home field. Word to the wise, get a FSS brief and file a flight plan. Also utilize flight following on your way down. Will you be flying solo or with someone?

As far as fog is concerned there needs to be an onshore flow, and it's usually creaps in at night around 9pm (after sunset) and hangs out till it burns off in the morning.

Mountain wave awareness is always priority flying here especially in the summer months. If you see Lenticular clouds stay away, but usually it isn't too bad. Stay on the lee side of the Sierra range.

Any other questions, drop me an email -- mpneill@cox.net

  9. Actually the G1000 is perfect for modern bush flying. I'm not sure how much back country you fly in the real world, but I can tell you from experience the last thing you want to happen is have a vaccum pump failure in the middle of no where. So much for steam gauges. In my opinion, and I know a lot of bush pilots and mountainous terrain pilots (real world) would agree that the more reliable the equipment the safer, and longer lasting the pilot.

I'm sure you're familiar with the phrase, "There are old pilots and there are bold pilots but there aren't old-bold pilots". I think that modern GPS and more reliable glass panel avionics are a life saver -- in real world flying. Fact is a vaccum pump failure in FS is nothing when you can just reset the program.

Besides, you can butcher the panel any way you want if you decide to get the Kodaik for FS. But I think your analogy of "putting a Bang & Olufsen into a Landrover." is a bit over the top. This baby is designed to take the challenges the back country has to throw at it, and I'd rather be sitting behind a solid piece of glass than trying to see through steam...
