  1. Hi,

I am not ignoring your message. Autogen.xml, fix is just a recommentation and not a tweak. It is not proved that this will gain extra performance. But in any case in will not reduce it. This fix is not secret and it was from the first ones published around the net before some years. Some sceneries, change it without informing you.

Xtreme FSX PC, informs you if noone has fixed it before and it is your choice what to do.

Then you should change the message in log screen. Now it's like you have to change it. Moreover you should iron out the spelling errors.

  2. Okay the error is about some font. I guess it's expecting a font which isn't in the font library.

Second why on earth does this program recommend to to change my autogen.xml (also wrongly spelled: autogen.xlm. There are more spelling errors btw.)

    It say's:

autogen.xlm default file has a problem.

Open autogen.xlm default file with notepad and at first line

    replace the utf-16 with utf-8

Save the file, close it and restart Xtreme FSX PC.

    With this in mind: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/317839-simple-stutters-fix-for-fsx/

You've got to be kidding! Is this the performance gain you are selling? I hope sincerely not.

  3. Since no seem to watch this forum anyway  I seem to have solved the problem with a little app called fsscenery.exe from Steve Greenwood.

I ran it and it said that I had a double entry and it restructered/renumbered the scenery.cfg. When I looked it had still two entries. After deleting one I started/stopped FS twice and there was still only one entry left. So I guess it had something to do with numbering (in scenery.new or scenery.old?)

You can get this little app here: http://home.earthlink.net/~smgreenwood/downloads/

    Thanks,

    Rob

  4. Hello,

I reinstalled FS9.1 and of course FSCargo (original+update to 12). What's been bugging me is that I've got two entries for FSCargo Scenery Libr. in my scenery.cfg.

I thought this to be wrong so I deinstalled and reinstalled FSCArgo but this time omitting the automatic routine which asks if the FSCargo library has to be added to the scenery library. I opted to add it manually.

What I did is not adding it at all, I just started FS and guess what. One entry for FSCargo Scenery Libr in the scenery library.

I quited and restarted FS and guess what: TWO entries in the library.

I may be stupid.. but how's this possible, is it necessary to have two entries and if not, how to get rid of the second entry... :?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob
