  1. I use WideFS over a network, and have for some time now, with project magenta. I updated flight sim and FSUIPC, but have suddenly developed a slowdown in my network connection on my main flightsim computer. I noticed on the Projectmagenta newsgroup that there is a thread discussing a network problem, but the newsgroup server appears to be down, so I cant read the threads to see if it's similar to my problem. Does anyone know if a problem has been created from the update and FSUIPC that cause a network problem on the WideFS server?? The other three computers i have networked for FS and PM appear to function fine, as far as accessing the Net and each other, but the main computer suddenly has a problem to the point where I can hardly get pagews to load, and even the simple act of trasnferring a file from one computer to the other takes forever.... Any help??? Thanks in advance John White newburgh, IN
  2. I moved all my flight sim stuff to another room the other day and redid the network. I have four computers running PM software, 3 on windows xp, and a fourth on win98 that I assembled out of junk parts to run the CDU. I put all the computers on a ethernet switch and have them all working except the win98 machine. Here's the problem: The WideFS client wont connect. The ServerIPAddr is set correctly to themain flight sim computer, and when I open the network neighborhood on the win98 machine, all the other computers show up. Still, when I run the WideFS client, it says "waiting for connection." I guess whats aggravating is that it worked OK before, and now it doesnt. Any ideas why it may not be connecting? I know its hard to diagnoss problems by remote control, but this is puzzling me. Thanks for any help. John White Newburgh, IN http://jtw737.mysimflight.com
  3. I have been using Project Magenta's regional jet glass cockpit for some time and love it. Ive set up three computers, one with FS2004, and the other two to run Nav and engine displays, all linked with registered WideFS and FSUIPIC installed. I also use Radar Contact and AdvDisplay on the computer running the engine displays of PM. There's supposed to be a way to have the Radar Contact text display in the text box of the Project Magenta engine display. Does anyone do this (or have any idea what I'm talking about)??? Thanks for your help. John White Newburgh, IN
