  1. Hi again, Once again your help was a success. I found a DLL-update at http://www.flyelite.com. After installation I had to install FSUIPC again and then it worked. I really appreciate your quick respond and you help. Sincerely, Jesper Hebel
  2. OK thanks Pete. I will work on it and come back to you.
  3. Hi Pete :D , I've been a registered user of FSUIPC3, using it with FS9 for many years. Back then I found out that I needed FSUIPC to use the Elite Throttle Quadrant in FS9. It worked perfect. Now I’ve switched to FSX and have downloaded, installed and purchased a new key for the newest version 4.16 of FSUIPC. In version 3 there was a search-button making FSUIPC detect the throttles. I don’t see this button in version 4. I know you have had some communication problems with this Elite-company :x during the years, so I’m about to think that you don’t want any thing to do with Elite in version 4. Is that correct or is there a way to use these throttles in FSX :?: Sincerely, Jesper Hebel
  4. Thanks Pete, I really don't know what they are thinking about at Elite. You and the Elite-support-team should be best friends. At least they should pay for the FSUIPC! Without your FSUIPC.dll no Elite hardware will be compatible with FS2004, right? Personal I will never buy the Elite-sim, because I don’t think it match up with FS2004. I contacted the support-team a long time ago about this problem, but they could not help me! Have to wait for an update of the elite.dll. Best regards Jesper
  5. Hi Kilo_Whiskey and Pete. I noticed this discussion is a bit old, but I have the exact same problem. Did you come up with a solution to this problem? Every time my computer has made a fresh start, I need to start FS twice, because the first time I get the message: “The Elite FS driver needs FSUIPC version 2.92 or later installed in the modules directory. No version has been detected at all or FSUIPC couldn’t be opened.” Then FS minimise. After clicking “OK” and maximise FS, my screen is black. Pushing “Esc” result in the message “End flight? Continue flight?” After clicking “End flight” I end up in the FS-menu, where the background of the aircraft is flashing fast! Then I can quit FS and start it up again without any problems beside the ones I have had since I bought the Elite throttles. I use EliteFS.dll v.1.0.11 and FSUIPC version 3.5 (Registered of cause). I would like to hear Kilo_Whiskey if you have experienced other problems with the Elite throttles. My throttles freeze up frequently. Then I have to scan for them in the Elite-menu. This is very annoying and sometimes my computer crashes completely when clicking “Scan”. Does this sound familiar? Kind regards Jesper
  6. Well, updating the driver didn't work. But I think it had something to do with the current in the USB Hub. Because when connecting the throttles directly into the computer, I solved the problem :!: . Elite said this quadrant need min. 350 W but over 400 W would be best. I don't know how to modify that, but it dosen't matter now. Thank you all for your help. :)
  7. When I go to my Controle Panel (Windows), System, Hardware and then Management Console, I can see the status of all the USB-ports of the external D-Link. The attachment is a screen dump so you can see some details. Text is in Danish but is translated: "Windows stoped this device because it reported a fault (Code 43)" Pete, I will contact Elite too. I just want to hear your expertise first.
  8. Thanks for your replies. But my power management is set standart, and it is always only the USB port, the Elite-device is pluged in to, that is stoped. When I switch to different port, this port will be stoped shortly hereafter! I think the answer lies in the Error-Code 43, but I don't know what that means!
  9. When flying FS2004 my Elite MEL Throttle Quandrant is making the USB port to shut down with error code 43. Sometimes I can play in servel hours before the port is shut down by Windows XP, but mostly it happent just a few minutes after FS2004 is started. I have a (D-Link) USB hub with 8 inlets. FSUIPC.dll v.3,47 is controlling the quandrant. What should I do :?: (Both the Hub and the throttles are brand new :!: )
