Just a thought here, have you tried installing from the CD with Vista in Safe Mode? I have found that some things that won't install normally will install when Vista is in Safe Mode. I am running Vista 64 on my lap top and have had to do that with a couple addons, one being the PMDG 737NG for FS9.

Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Just a quick update on my posts in another topic further down. FSX Deluxe installed and activated fine, but Acceleration would not prompt to activate after installation. It would prompt after running the sim for 30 minutes but then the registration window would open and be blank with no where to enter the license key and then hang. After reading through information on the Flight1 site: http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=vista and making some of their suggested changes to Vista security settings I was able to get the Acceleration to register successfully. Turning off User Account Control didn't do the trick in and of itself, but after taking ownership of the \Program Files (x86) folder via the instructions on the Flight1 page, Acceleration was able to be activated. It did not prompt to activate on installation however but rather after running the sim to the 30 minute demo mode time limit.
I posted this merely so it may be helpful to those who will be running FSX Acceleration on Vista 64bit in the future.

Maybe next time around.

Haha, we got one of these from some friends and my wife has been "suggesting" that I do one for us to send back

I'll do my best to be there!

I was not aware that one was being planned :(

We have a saying here re: weather.
If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes or move 5 miles.
   Ain't that the truth! Here in Olympia today it is 51f and raining.... yesterday we saw 71f and clear skies.
Hope you have a great visit to my area of the world, Francois!

Many thanks for this one!! I am just barely beginning to explore it :D .

You should be thankful! That one looks rather small so it’s possible the *mom* might be nearby.
It was small but definitely not a cub. I have been in the vicinity of sows and cubs when in the backcountry. Talk about nerve wracking

Hi Eric,
lovely images - thanks for sharing. We'll do our best (with Emma Field X) to do the lake and environs justice.
Great looking cabins. What's the name of the resort?
Cheers, Holger

I am glad you guys are enjoying the photos.
I'll have to get some of my slides scanned of my various backpacking trips in the Olympics and Cascades to share as well one of these days.

Wow, those look amazing!!
Unfortunately for my FS habit, life is taking a different direction for me such that my budget for FS add ons is now at $0 for the next several years. I still have my ever faithful FS9 and a barebones install of FSX though.

I hope we might see additional Olympic Peninsula /PNW region adventures that you'd be willing to post about here as well! 8)
Here are a couple different adventures from a couple years ago. A friend of mine is a private pilot that I have been up with a couple times:

Just a bump.... posted some pics in the original post.

.....or you can have it installed to your FS9 kneeboard:

Good stuff! Even though I am only turning 30 this year and most of this was before my time, I still read every Hardy Boys book in existence three times   .

I'm in! I quite enjoy my helicopters.

Hey guys, I am not going to make the fly-in today :( :( . My wife and I found out just a few minutes ago that we are taking our 13 month old foster daughter to meet her grandfather (the first time). It's a very important meeting for her and us.
Sorry to pull out at the last minute :( . I will just have to join in the next fly-in.
Have fun guys!

I was going to post the repaint I'm using for the fly-in, but realistically, not many, if any will even have the airplane I'm flying, and I don't have any of the aircraft that I've seen the other participants flying, so my guess is, most of us will simply see a lot of Cessna's at this fly-in, lol.
You are flying Eric Dantes' Twin Bonanza right? Are you using a custom repaint as well? I did actually install it again since I saw that you posted that you were going to be using.
