  1. Mr. Dowson: Thanks for the reply. I've tried unchecking wind-smoothing and checking random turbulence but I still don't see any effect. What does random turbulence do and how can I see its effect? Thanks for a great product! DD
  2. Dear Mr. Dowson and/or anyone who can help while he is away: This is my first foray into this forum. Thanks for making it available! I am an ActiveSky user in FS9 and have recently registered FSUIPC (3.30) in hopes of adding some turbulence effects. ActiveSky doesn't replicate what I think are pretty good light and moderate turbulence effects in FS9 itself (when using user defined weather). Unfortunately, when using ActiveSky (which does greatly enhance the winds and clouds of FS9) I lose the light and moderate turbulence common to light G.A. aircraft. That little bit of bouncing around would really make for a realistic appearing simulator ride. I've checked both the wind turbulence and cloud turbulence features in FSUIPC and get only the slightest bit of turbulence. Is there a way to modulate this for greater effect in the FS9 version? It looked like you could do this in FS2000/2002 FSUIPC. The user guide also suggests you can specify at what altitudes you want turbulence - I don't see how to do that in the FS9 control set. I've asked the ActiveSky folks to address it but thought I would try from this end as well! Thanks for a great product. DD
