It was the so called "metric METAR bug" fix. Description from the developer: "This is a fix for the metric METAR bug aka "fog bug" in FS9. FS9 has a bug in weather.dll, which causes it to interprid "9999" as a maximum visibility rather than "visibility of over 10km" Usually this happens when there are some clouds in the area, whereas during CAVOK conditions visibility usually is over 10km. In USA and Canada there has been no problem since FS9 interprids "10SM" correctly. (and anywhere else where visibility in metar is in miles)" Regards, andreas

Hello Pete, first thx for your efforts. I checked all modules which should be changed by the patch and found "weather.dll" not changed. I remember that I replaced the original file by a a "imodified" one from the net. I forgot this and didn't replaced this file with the original one before running the patch. To be sure that everything is done well, I changed all files to the original one to get an unpatched FS9 version. Then I tried step by step from FS9, FSUIPC v3.30 to v3.40 and then to FS9.1 and v3.40. And now everything is working well...the Wx + AI gauges in ACS panel and Wx from FSMetar. Summary: The problem was an unpatched file - weather.dll - because it was a modified one. After replacing this modified file with the original one and running again the patch everything is working fine. Hello, I have a registered version of FSUIPC, v3.40 is installed, FS9.1 german with german patch (will call FS9.1 "FS9" in followed description) and following problems : - Freeware ACS MD-11 Panel (v2.49): Since the patch and v3.40 I can not use the Wx (FS9 weather) + AI function in this panel. Normally I see the Wx and AI situation around my ACFT position after few minutes, but now I am waiting 20 min and more and nothing happens. - Freeware FSMetar (v1.54): FSMetar freeze when trying to connect to FS9. After closing FS9 I have access to FSMetar. I have a FSUIPC logfile which consits of many error entries. Please let me know an email for sending you this file. I know, that some people are using the patched version of FS9, FSUIPC 3.40 and ACS panel without any problems. I do not know if these people are also using the german version of FS9.
