  1. John, Thanks for the information. I don't need it for MSFS2020. I was using FSX in windows 7, and purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and purchased FSX Steam a month ago. Can you instruct me which link to choose from SimMarket? I purchased the first one in 2013 for FSX, Windows 7. I can't tell if I need to update or not. Cfoley
  2. I have transferred my FSX from Windows 7 FSX to Windows 10 FSX Steam. I have been trying to update my FSUIPC and I have been seeing I need my registration number. How do I obtain that? It has been almost 10 years since I recall adding FSUIPC. Cfoley
  3. Pete, Thanks for the information. I am glad to hear that it does not effect FSX. I am just trying to narrow it down what could have happened. Since it involved "runways", I thought it may have been the reason. I am not good at troubleshooting these things.
  4. Hi, After I installed the new MakeRwys yesterday, My QW757 ILS no longer is functioning. I input the correct runway frequency, etc, but nothing happens. I don't know if it was because I downloaded and installed MakeRwys to my FSX folder or it is just a coincidence. Also, I installed Delta Virutal Airlines and that is why I needed to install the MakeRwys because when I would upload FSX, the RAAS error would pop up. I have not used Delta Virtual yet, but when I use FSX, the problem is there. Does MakeRwys possible cause the ILS problem? I just don't have any idea.
  5. Thanks for the reply! No, I did not reinstall FSUIPC. I kind of figured FSUIPC was not the cause but just wanted to find out if reinstalling it might help. But since it is likely it is not the cause, I will not reinstall it. I checked the FSUIPC Axis assignments and nothing is selected for Level D 767.
  6. Hi, I just recently started having problems with my Level-D 767 Vertical speed. It will not hold on auto pilot and the plane just shoots upward at a very steep climb. I tried all kinds of trouble shooting and sumbitted a post in Level D and they suggested I re-install Level D 767 and FSUIPC. I did reinstall Level D 767, but not FSUIPC and when I did 3 test take offs, it seemed to work ,but on a planned flight, the V/S stopped working again on descent and on another, it did not work on take off. It just keeps shooting upward and there is no control unless I push the nose down. All my other add on aircraft work fine. I have purchased FSUIPC last fall and have used the 767 since then without this problem. In your opion, should I reinstall FSUIPC and if it may help with this problem? My only concern is other problems crop up if I re-install FSUIPC.
  7. Pete, I am sorry, but I am having some confusion with the instructions.
  8. Pete, I found the files where you mentioned they would be. So if I delete the FSX CFG file, FSX will automatically create a new one?
  9. Pete, Thanks again for your assistance. Where is the FSX CFG file located? I checked my C:ProgramFiles(86)Microsoftgames/Microsoft Flight SimulatorX, but cannot find anything titled FSX CFG. Also, How do I delete a "Default Flight"? As you can see I am not a computer software expert. I have gone to AVISM but I have not received any replies yet. I originally sent you this email in hopes that FSUIPC would help from what I had been reading in other forums.
  10. - Pete, Thank you for the quick reply. Here is an attachment (or at least some of it, it was too big to load and had problems getting smaller) that I obtained from Event Viewer of one of the Fatal Errors. I cannot make heads or tails of it. I am not a software expert on trouble shooting. The airport I was trying was KSFO FSX Default. I did have an addon scenery for KSFO but I disabled it because it was bad on the frame rates so I went back to the default. This is the first time I used the default airport since before I had the airport addon and this problem occured. I tried Level D 767 and it also had a fatal error. At first I thought it was just the 747 addon but apparently not. It did not do it with Quality Wings 757, so I am baffled. EventData fsx.exe 10.0.61472.0 475e17d3 API.DLL 10.0.61472.0 475e180d c0000005 0003b9a3 b58 01ce7a80806bbe61 C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\API.DLL 9887e4cc-e677-11e2-aec1-00038a000015
  11. I purchased PDGM's 747-400 about two years ago. But starting yesterday, "Fatal Error" messages would pop up and reboot FSX. It usually starts up after a few minutes at the airport terminal and usually when I change screens. I had this problem when I first purchased add ons for FSX two years ago and only after an hour of flying, but the problem was resolved with adding UIAutomationCore.dll to FSX and had not had a fatal error since. I read in posts recommending adding FSUIPC which I purchased yesterday, but I am still have the fatal error issue. This appears to only occur with PDGM 747, but not other add-ons. The last add on I purchased for FSX was Fsdt GSX Ground Services but no fatal error issues with other aircraft add ons. I checked other forums about this issue but most suggest what I have already done. Does anyone have any suggestions?
