Is there a way to use GFDisplay to display manifold pressure and propeller RPM?

Garmin has a simulator interface document which describes the communication protocol in detail but does not mention that it is NMEA format.. it includes items such as OBS course and RAIM status which I suspect are not part of the NMEA protocol... so I suppose it will not work. Is there a way to use FSUIPC and a script in FS2004 to communicate bi-directionally with the Garmin 530? The Garmin 530 does have a serial port and the communication structure is well documented by Garmin - I just do not know how to establish this communication with FS2004.

Will GPSOUT work with a real Garmin 530 if I connect my computer to the serial input of the GPS?

That is close but it applies to a Windows CE USB port... that is the basic idea though... what would the entry be in the GPSOUT configuration file to point it to a USB port? The only alternate seems to be using a standard serial port on the 296 and a USB to serial converter on my PC.

I have GPSOUT working fine with a Garmin 295 using a USB to serial port converter. I just upgraded to a Garmin 296 though and I cannot get the GPS to receive data from GPSOut. The USB drivers for the GPS are loaded and my Device Manager recognizes the GPS... but what port is a USB port, i.e. what port do I configure in the GPSOUT configuration file? I turned on ports 1 and 2 in the Garmin 296 setup and matched this in the GPSOUT configuration but it does not work. Any ideas?
