  1. Hi,

In advance sorry if this question already has been asked before. I did a forum search but didn't find my question.

    Here it goes:

    • Is it possible (using aircraft specific profiles) to use FSUIPC for throttle axis assigment  for some aircraft but for other aircraft to use the default throttle assigment in P3D?

The reason why I'm asking this is that I don't succeed to set FSUIPC throttle assignment for the Aerosoft Airbus extended. Somehow the bus doesn't understands the throttle assignment.

Therefor I would like to use the standard P3D throttle assignment for the Aerosoft bus and the FSUIPC throttle assignment for all other aircraft.

  2. Hi,

I would like to change the responsiveness (and out value) of my elevator axis and I wonder if it can be done through FSUIPC.

In short I would like to keep a lineair response (not curved) but not to the full deflection.

So pushing/pulling the elevator on my yoke fully, should result in a max out value of for example +/-13000 (instead of +/-16384)

Basically I'm looking for a way to dampen and limiting the elevator axis response.

I know I can change (i.e. dampen) the out value through the calibration curve, but this isn't what I want.

When curved, at higher axis deflections, the out value suddenly increases rapidly. I don't want this to happen (i.e. liniair)

I hope you understand what I'm trying to accomplish.

  3. Hi,

I'm a long time user of WideFS but now I encounter a problem.

Recently I reinstalled my FS2004 PC, migrating from WinXP x32 to Win7 X64.

In the past I have reinstalled several times my OS/FS2004 and all I had to do was to change the IP address in the Wideclient.ini

Somehow now I encounter a problem, causing WideFS not to connect to FSUIPC anymore.

    I don't have a clue why...

    WideClient PC: Win7 X64, Fixed IP: 192.168.1.79

    FS2004 PC: Win7 X64, Fixed IP: 192.168.1.76

On both systems the Windows firewall is turned off.

I can ping on both systems to the other PC, they find each other.

If I recall correctly in the FS2004 title bar there should be a message 'Waiting for Clients' (or something)

In my current FS2004 this line is not showing.

    Please advice

    Here my Wideclient.ini

  4. Hi,

Disabling the scenery in the scenery.cfg has the same effect and then the DBManager is continuing.

It must be security related, because the DBManager running locally on the FS PC is indexing without any problem.

Also I thought maybe there were a few network hickups during remote indexing, but that isn't the case since it haltes always with the same scenery.

So my guess it is a security realted issue and thus most likely outside the scope of FSC/DBManager.

I'll try to investigate and report back. It is no biggy for me because I can index locally anyway and copy when ready.

    (Is also faster)

    Egbert

  5. Done.

If I install FSC also on the FS-PC and run it from there, what files do I have to copy to tansfer the created database?

    Egbert

EDIT: In the log the import crashes on the Aerosoft Heathrow scenery, I already had disabled Lissabon

EDIT2: Installed FSC on my FS-PC and there the DB Manager ran without any problems.

Will reinstall on remote PC and try again

EDIT3: Reinstalled and tried again on remote PC, with same result: Error with the same airports.

    FSCDBM_FS09.zip

  6. Hi,

I have reinstalled FS9 on a new computer and now I'm having a problem with FSC Database Manager whilst updating the airports:

    FSC.gif

I'm a long time user of FSC and ths is the very first time this happens and I don't have a clue why.

FSC is running on a remote PC (Win7-X64) and connects via network to FS9 PC (WinXP-x86/SP3)

I have checked if the file exist and it does, so it must be a rights issue.

The user running FSC has full rights on the FS9 PC, so it is strange it can't read the file(s).

So far the issue only happens with a very few airports: Aerosoft Lissabon, Aerosoft Budapest, Aerosoft London.

(Is it a coincidence it happens with Aerosoft airports?)

I disabled the sceneries temporarily , so FSC DB could continue, but I would like to know why this is caused.

Again, I have used FSC a lot and never experienced this error.

    Please advice,

    Egbert

  7. Hi,

Just measuring the distance to determine if an aircraft is on track is not enough. In your drawing for example, if the aircraft flies along the Y-axis the distance to A decreases (untill a certain point) but the aircraft is off track.

You have to calculate the track between the 2 points and compare if the aircraft is off-track.

I always use this very helpfull and informative website:

  8. Hi,

I tried several times to install FSUIPC but I do not see the 'add ons' menu.

The installer installed FSUIPC 4.02 correctly according to the messagebox.

I run FSX build 60905.00 (downloadable version for FSX beta testers)

This is the contents of the FSUIPC log:

  9. Hi,

There's a tiny issue with the Tongass configurator in relation to Misty Fjords.

Just before installing Tongass, I installed Misty Fjords (incl. auto scenery.cfg entry) but hadn't start FS2004 yet.

After that I installed immediately Tongass and when the Tongass configurator appeared it didn't recognized that I had Misty scenery installed.

After starting/stopping FS2004 and back to the configurator, it did recognize Misty.

Tiny issue, but I thought I should mention.

  10. To Ian:

    >> Something you might not be aware of is the Human Eye even with full 20/20 vision can not view anything above 17 FPS anyway <<

Set the refresh rate of your CRT monitor to 60 Hz and try to stare an hour to it. You will have a severe headache.

The human eye definately can detect differences above 17 fps.

The limit lays between the 70 and 80 Hz, depending on the person.
