  1. Changed for the new version and the problem is solved. Thank you! :) :D Here is the LOG file, as requested: ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.972 by Pete Dowson ********* Running on Windows Version 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Verifying Certificate for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\MODULES\FSUIPC.dll" now ... 2. Looks like I found a solution: using the AUTOASSIGNLETTERS option... [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters=Yes 0=CH PRO PEDALS USB 1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke 2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant A=CH PRO PEDALS USB B=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke C=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant Now it´s fine. :D
  3. Tried the 9.7.2 version and the problem still there. My system: Mobo ASUS P5K Deluxe CPU Core2Duo 6600 NVidia GTS 250 4GB DDR2 1066 MHz Corsair Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits
  4. Hi Pete, I use 3 different controls: Saitek Yoke + Throttle; Saitek Throttle Quadrant and CH Pro Rudder Pedals. ALL USB. I´ve set up to DISABLE joysticks on FS, so I can configure them with FSUIPC that is a lot better. :) Configuring them with FSUIPC 4.xx on FSX works fine, but when I am using the FS9 with the FSUIPC 3.96 (last version from download page) I have some problems: The axis assignments go off for no reason. I can no longe access them via AXIS ASSIGNMENTS and cannot use the controls flying. I was looking for a 'solution', thinking that was something that I´ve done by mistake, and found a way to make the assignments work again and this aparently is the reason I am losing the assignments everytime. Inside ...FS9\MODULES\ there´s the FSUIPC.INI file and it displays: [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters=No 0=CH PRO PEDALS USB 1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke 2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant [General] bla bla bla... When I change something the new INI file looks like this: [JoyNames] AutoAssignLetters=No 0=CH PRO PEDALS USB 1=Saitek Pro Flight Yoke 2=Saitek Pro Flight Quadrant yes, there´s a SPACE between 0= and 1= and when I correct it manually, the controls come back to life. How to solve this problem? Thanks! Roger
  5. Pete and Ian, Thank you both for your comments. :D I´m curious if it´s possible to track down the FSX menu failures with FSInterrrogate or something else. I´ve read the FSUIPC FS9 SDK and noticed that the FS2000 ENGINE offsets for GAUGES (described down the SDK DOC) have some "space" (3 bytes I think) between other offsets that follows them. Is it possible that this "void" keeps this new data? Or maybe some other area? Sorry if I´ve said something stupid or completely ilogical, I´m not a programmer (just an amateur who likes to deal with some code to have fun). I hope there´s a way to use these data in the future, because I´m willing to use them on my "program". :-) BTW, how can I use sets of keys to set this cylinder failure? I´ve found nothing on the key assignments menu (on FSX, Controls, Assignments) who deals with cylinders. Only complete engine failure. Ian, do you mean setting up keys with FSUIPC using the MENU system? Please clarify for me! :-) Thanks again for your attention! Regards, Roger
  6. Hi! :-) I cannot find any info on the SDK about the cylinder failure (eg, cylinder 1, 2...) that can be set on FSX. Can someone help me with this offset? Thanks in advance. Regards, Roger
  7. Thanks Pete. You´re really fast to post an answer :D Hope someone knows a way to do it, if possible. Thanks again.
  8. Hello, I´m trying to make a program that simulates gear extension failure. Lets say I need to avoid, via FSUIPC, that RIGHT MAIN GEAR locks down (simulating a gear problem). Tried to write on FS9, via FSUIPC, the 0BF0 address, using FSUIPC_Write, but Im not getting any success. Is this address read only? Is there a way to make the above mentioned failure? If yes, how? Thanks in advance. Roger
  9. Thanks Pete and José. Ive installed it and registered. Everything is ok now. Regards. Roger
  10. Hi there Pete! Thanks for the quick release of FSUIPC 4 :-) Im having trouble with the EXE and my NOD32 antivirus. It opens a warning window saying that a "probably unknown virus NewHeur_PE" What should I do? Thanks in advance and again for the quick release. Roger
  11. Hello again Pete, Thanks for the quick answer. :D That question was made because a friend told me that he´s getting better performance with magenta, using SERVERNAME instead of SERVERIP. He said that, when he was using IP, things were going much slower than with the NAME. The explanation he gave me was that, for some reason, theres less traffic using ADDR than IP, and consequently less flood between computers, will be less conflict with the Internet traffic etc etc etc... I was personally in doubt that was true, so decided to "give you a call". Now I do realize it doesn´t matter in terms of how fast the info travels back and forth. Sorry for the stupid question. Regards! Roger
  12. Hi Peter! I´ve heard from a friend that SERVERNAME is better/faster than SERVERIPADDR for people who uses Project Magenta with WideFS. The e-mail stated that you gave a tip saying that SERVERNAME is better. You wrote at the WideFS Users Manual that: "Incidentally, assigning specific IP addresses in this way also reduces periodic but regular stutters in Flight Simulator, caused by the Network drivers querying the Network to get an address assigned (or something like that)." So now, Im in doubt: what is the best in terms of performance? Thanks in advance and Greetings from Brazil! :D Roger Beggiato
