  1. Not trying to fluff up the numbers here but I forgot to mention I had a bit of a problem with the sound files for FSSound. Heard some at CYYJ but at the Inner Harbor all I would get was terrible screaching/static sounds. I'll reinstall and see what happens but I'm pretty familiar with FSSE/FSSound files.....never know. btw, the sound files were worth the download in their own right! The bagpipes is my favorite. ;-)

  2. Hi Bill,

Thanks to you I didn't get to bed until near midnight last nite!!! LOL I've been to Victoria a few times (and again next month ) and I love what you did to it. I seem to have some regular .bgl scenery for Victoria Inner Harbor installed but only needed to shift one concrete 50 x 50 in FSSE to make it all go together seamlessly! I set the sim to dusk and the lighting is unbelieveable. Flew the Republic Seebee for 2 hrs... he he.. and had a ball.

Thanks for all the work that obviously went into this. I have a good screenshot that I'll post the link to, as soon as I get it up on my site.

  3. Simon,

Kyle and I have teamed up to do seaplane stations in the Caribbean for TCA, but he does much more scenery work than I can handle. :-) I already thanked him for the McChord scenery. Freeware scenery folks only get paid by your thanks, so give generously. (no, this is not bait for a freeware/payware thread)

  4. I'm with the majority on leaving Emma Field alone or only making minor enhancements. As far as adding NDB's, anyone could do this with a free scenery program if they want one and even upload it for us lazier types. :-)

Being from Redding in N. Calif., I'd love to see something here that ties N. Calif to Lago's Flying M and on up to BC eventually.

Here's a shot from behind Mt. Shasta with Weed (O46) straight ahead 20 miles in the Yreka plains area. McCloud airport is 3 miles to my left and very rustic. Dunsmuir Mun-Mott 1O6 (just reopened after cutting down some trees that damaged paint on landings) is nearby at 10 miles, sitting inbetween Weed and McCloud. I can make digital photos of these places if needed.

  6. Edited to say I don't know how to get the pic to show. LOL

There is a Lake Renegade 250 that frequents Benton Airpark here in west Redding, CA I'll stop by and see if anyone knows when it might be back around this neck of the woods and take pics and all of it. Probably much too late for this project but may be useful later, or just plain interesting. :-)

This is a pic of my default startup. Sure am looking forward to the updated Lake. :D

  7. Hi Ruud and Jerone,

Well, I couldn't stand it and now I'm really mad. :x Why didn't I get them sooner???? Great stuff, Ruud, and now I get to enjoy them too. My local area, Redding, CA, is beautiful with your textures! So, for now I'm hoping the tex will work with the new sim but still feel the purchase is worth it even it they don't.

    Best regards,

    Rob

  8. Hi Lauren,

Found it, thanks! Must have been a finger slip on my part, came right up this time.

Almost finished with a seaplane base in the Caribbean. Next I'll try my hand at some bush sceneries!

    Best regards, Rob
