Hi,
I was playing around with planning a flight over the ocean today and wanted to work out what the single engine out performance of the aircraft was for keeping it near airfields. As this is not listed in the documentation anywhere, I thought I'd test it out, so loaded up the sim and jumped into the aircraft, then slewed up to FL410 planning to switch off an engine and see how it flew.
Unfortunately, due to my cold and dark setting, I had no engines when I switched off the slew mode.
So, I decided to take that as an unexpected learning experience.
I tried to 'guess' through the engine restart sequence, but couldn't manage to guess my way though getting the engines started.
So, falling out of the sky now, I thought I'll check the manual to see what the procedure is, but I wasn't able to find it (only an entry saying that without the GPU connected, the batteries can be used to start the engines - right side first). Flipping the starter switch seemed to attempt to start the sequence, but it didn't manage to start them.
Can the engines be restarted mid-flight, or is the simulation limited and only able to start the engines on the ground?
Thanks for your advice.
