  1. Hi Pete, The point is I had a problem with Simconnect effecting the installation of FSUIPC and the correct running of AFX, ok perhaps I did go at somewhat arse about face, but whatever I did I have both programs running as they should, and I'm happy about that, my Sim is working perfectly, yesterday I had my first flight in ages and I really enjoyed it, aircraft looking good no problems with gauges and a fantastic weather set up. Thanks again Pete, Dave.
  2. Hi Pete, One piece of good news I have got FSUIPC 4.28 to work, In the SDK fold, sub folder Legacy Interface I found two folders FSX RTM and FSX SP1,I opened FSX RTM and I found another SDK exe so I had nothing to loose and bingo FSUIPC 4.28 Installed. AFX is still not connecting but again this seems to be a fairly common problem, so with that thank you very much for your support and help. Dave.
  3. Hi Pete, I just deleted the Simconnect files only, as regards installing FSX SDK, SP1 SP 1a and SP 2 they all had to go in that order but as each install it would remove the previous version of SDK, I have one Simconnect file in WinSxS which contains Sinconnect 10.0.61637.0 dll. I think for the time being I will wait for your FSUIPC 4.50 which I hope will solve one part of the Simconnect problem, as regards AFX I will take the problem to the manufacturer should I need too. Thanks Pete, Dave.
  4. Hi Pete, I did not look at the date when this thread was opened, all I know is that I have a similar problem which if possible I would like resolveing. This is the FSUIPC log file from my FSX modules folder........................ Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.28 Looking in registry for FSX install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 Parameter"SetupPath" SetupPath="D:\Programes Files\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\" Checking version of FSX.EXE: ... Version 10.0.61637.0 (Need at least 10.0.60905.0) Checking compatibility with installed SimConnect: ... Probe Manifest fails to match a valid base SimConnect needed to load FSUIPC4! Found later build SimConnect 61259 (Acc/SP2 Oct07) *************** End of Install Log *************** Today I deleted all traces of Simconnect, I repaired FSX with my FSX Deluxe disk, and the from the disc SDK was installed which I activated no change, I repaired FSX Acceleration with the disc and activated SDK SP1 no change, I then installed SDK SP1a no change, then SDK SP2 and this where I an now no change. Thanks Pete, Dave.
  5. Hi Pete, I hope you don't mind me adding to this thread but I have exactly the same problem and have tried to correct it, but first this is what Iv'e got. I have had FSX Deluxe for some time and very recently upgraded to FSX Acceleration SDK SP2 which gave me a few problems most I have been able to deal with except being able to install FSUIPC4. Now on following various trains of thought such as checking Windows fire wall etc and my antivirus, I came here and tried to follow Mark T's fix. Out of the 3 Simconnet folders in winsxs I have one Simconnect.dll 10.0.61637.0 this is in the last folder, when I looked in the Manifest folder I found a lot of Manifest files and security catalog files the first 2 dll's and security catalog files belong to Microsoft Flight Simulator so that's leaves me with a problem regarding Mark T's fix as to renaming them as I don't know which ones to rename. I have uninstalled installed but the problem remains the same, I even tried to to install FSX to my original settings where FSUIPC worked the problem persists, I have Activesky X which also fails to simconnect which means the weather will not be updated. Your help WILL be very much appeciated. Dave.
  6. Thanks very much Pete, I will pass your findings onto HIFI Simulations so they can sort this out. Cheers and my thanks, Dave.
  7. Greetings all, This week I purchased ASV and included an upgrade, I would really appreciate if someone would take a look at my FSUIPC log. I have been in touch with Jim at Activesky and he recommended that I post the log here to find and rectify the error. Cheers and thank you in advance. 8. Hi Pete, I have installed , version 3.50 and none of the previous errors have appeared all types of TCAS gauges are ok, so that looks good now. Sorry about my jargon a spike is just another name for an error that pops up. Cheers Pete and thanks, Dave.
  9. Hi Pete, Thanks for the reply sorry I should of put the version FSUIPC, Version 3.48, I have been unable to locate the sem.gau in my gauges folder. There is also an error spike now and this is the cpt_F16.gau and this is a TCAS gauge and is on the A340 panel. Cheers Pete and Thanks, Dave.
  10. Greetings all, This is my first post on this illustrious forum, I have a slight problem with the "ILH_TCAS.GAU" as it appears to be a none registered gau, and an error message pops up. Also trying to do a trawl through the search picked out 3 pages so the simplest way to resolve this is to possibly ask the question again so I'm sorry if this is a repeat question. 2000 D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ 2000 System time = 11:12:00, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 97468 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 97500 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 97890 Aircraft="Cessna Skyhawk 172SP" 182109 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 195734 C:\Documents and Settings\DAVID\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 196922 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 223375 Traffic File #17 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic" 224297 Traffic File #33 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic_fred_su05_philippineairlines" 396031 WeatherOptions set, now 0000B027 (timer=0) 397312 Traffic File #79 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic_paf" 505781 AIRCRAFT\gmaxF1\gmaxF1.air 506156 Aircraft="gmaxF1 clean a" 508062 Module [M1] identified = "SuperEtendard.GAU" 591625 Traffic File #81 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic_pai" 913672 AIRCRAFT\Lipad Nuwebe DC-9-32\lipad9.air 914047 Aircraft="DC-9-32 Cebu Pacific" 914922 Module [M1] identified = "SuperEtendard.GAU" 917390 Module [M2] identified = "Sem.GAU" 925218 Module [M2] "ILH_TCAS.gau" access registration is okay 1168734 Traffic File #73 = "scenery\world\scenery\traffic_mrai_su05_thaiairways" 2011859 AIRCRAFT\Airbus A320-214 Cebu Pacific Air (F-WWID)\Airbus320-200CFM.air 2012297 Aircraft="A320-200 Cebu Pacific Air (F-WWID)" 2016797 Module [M2] identified = "ILH_TCAS.GAU" 2016828 Illegal read attempt: offset 7B90, size 1 [P-2] 2016828Program or module not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPC 2022750 ### IPC Message processed in 5985mSecs ### 2140797 System time = 11:47:39, FS2004 time = 13:02:48 (05:02Z) 2140797 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 2 Allocs, 8532 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed **** Here it's... ok 925218 Module [M2] "ILH_TCAS.gau" access registration is okay 1168734 Traffic File #73.
