  1. Hello gentlemen Thanks to all of you for taking out time and working with me on this. The connection between WideClient and WideServer is indeed established now. Your support is well appreciated and I would expect the same in future as well, if required. For others who might face the same problem and come here looking for a solution, following are the steps that may have worked for me individually or collectively (I can never be sure of what really did  ): a) disabling the windows firewall completely B) Uninstalling the antivirus and all such programs c) A
  2. I changed the protocol to UDP but sadly no change is the status- it shows connected as earlier but not truly "connected" as you mentioned in the last post. Then I changed the port to 8003( protocol was kept as UDP), in this case not even the connection was established. How can I find out the ports and also which one is free. Kindly assist me with this basic issue. Thanks
  3. Good morning Peter Hope you doing fine. After a lot of efforts, I could connect the clients to the server. However the server can only see/identify the clients but no data transfer or interaction with them. I am sending the logs from the server and one of three clients (other two client logs are identical). As per your convenience, please look into the matter. ********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 7.939u] ********* Blocksize guide = 8192 (double allowed) Date (dmy): 29/07/15, Time 11:42:36.651: Server name is PRIMARY 15787 Initialising TCP/IP server 15787 Initialising UDP/IP se
  4. Seems like I need to dive deeper into my systems security and network settings. Thanks for your time and support Peter. Have a good day ahead.
  5. Hi Peter Hope you doing well. I reinstalled the WideClient.exe on client stations, flushed the DNS cache, added ServerIPaddr to the .ini file and fortunately WideFS on the client stations was finally connected. this happened on friday. But today again to my disappointment the situation is back to what it was. WideFS says it is waiting for connection. I have tried everything that may have worked on friday but have not seen any success so far. following are the WideServer and WideClient logs for your reference. ********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 7.939u] ********* Blocksize guide = 81
  6. Every time this has occurred in the past it has been firewall type protection on the FS PC. I doubt yours is an exception. Check any add-on security software as well as Windows' firewall. Most anti-virus packages also add network protection. Hi Peter, I am in the process of rechecking the server PC for anything that might be acting as a firewall and thereby causing a conflict. Here are the FSUIPC4.log and WideServer.log files respectively for your ready reference: ********* FSUIPC4, Version 4.939u by Pete Dowson ********* Reading options from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft
  7. My sincere apologies for the same. Please pardon my lack of understanding of these forums as I am new here. I will make sure this would not happen again. I will stick with the other thread from hereon. Krishna
  8. Hi Peter, Thanks for a quick reply. I disabled the firewall from all the systems after reading the WideFS user guide, after writing the last post here I realized that i should have mentioned the same. so the firewalls are disabled. I was getting fixated on the LUA statement as well but now that you have clarified about the same, I am relieved on that. I am still unsure what could be cause of server not connecting to the client. I registered FSUIPC and WideFS again hoping that the same would sort out the issue but to my disappointment nothing changed. Krishna
  9. Thanks Roman and Pete for replying here. Pete, the workgroup is same for all the computers. Further as you suggested, I have added parameters to WideClient.ini (ServerAddr and Protocol). however after doing all this the situation still remains the same. I have carefully read the section regarding configuration in the WideFS user guide as well. here is the latest WideClient log: ********* WideClient Log [version 6.999n] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 23/07/15, Time 15:15:36.287: Client name is FOPC 63 LUA: "C:\Users\FlightSim1\Desktop\WideClient\Initial.LUA": not found
  10. here is the latest log after specifying the IP address in the .ini configuration: ********* WideClient Log [version 6.999n] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 23/07/15, Time 15:15:36.287: Client name is FOPC 63 LUA: "C:\Users\FlightSim1\Desktop\WideClient\Initial.LUA": not found 63 Attempting to connect now 63 Trying TCP/IP addr 192.168.1.7, port 8002 ... 1077 Error on client pre-Connection Select() [Error=10061] Connection refused 1077 Ready to try connection again 2138 Attempting to connect now 61855 Trying TCP/IP addr 192.168.1.7, port 8002 ...
  11. Hi Luke, I went through the above thread and was glad to see that the problem was resolved with your inputs. I am facing similar issues as well. following is the WideClient log: ********* WideClient Log [version 6.999n] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 17/07/15, Time 13:25:16.797: Client name is FLIGHTSIM1-PC 47 LUA: "C:\Users\FlightSim1\Desktop\Initial.LUA": not found 63 Attempting to connect now 63 Trying to locate server: Need details from Server Broadcast 63 Failed to connect: waiting to try again 2122 Attempting to connect now 45366 Trying
  12. Hi there, This is in reference to the last post regarding WideFS failing to connect, I did send the WideClient log however I forgot to send the WideServer log. Here it is- ********* WideServer.DLL Log [version 7.939u] ********* Blocksize guide = 8192 (double allowed) Date (dmy): 15/07/15, Time 12:54:41.102: Server name is UDAAN-PC 15600 Initialising TCP/IP server 15600 Initialising UDP/IP server 16115 Broadcasting service every 1000 mSecs 1808317 Closing down now ... 13. Hi there, Greetings for the day, I have registered the FSUIPC4 and WideFs7 on main computer (running FSX). However when i try running WideClient.exe on remote stations, I get following message- `WideClient FS98 Eliminator-Waiting for a connection.`. I have gone through the installation manual and have done pretty much everything right with regards to installation and networking. following is the WideClient log- ********* WideClient Log [version 6.999n] Class=FS98MAIN ********* Date (dmy): 17/07/15, Time 13:25:16.797: Client name is FLIGHTSIM1-PC 47 LUA: "C:\Users\FlightSim1\
