It's been such a long time for so many years after setting it up and having a great time flying. I finally refreshed my memory with loads of reading and it finally came back to me. I found that the FSUIPC4.ini file was corrupt. I started a new one and installed 4 aircraft. Works great again. I think, maybe I'm wrong, that the DCS (Digital Combat System by Eagle Dynamics caused the problem when setting up the controls. It is gone now. Thanks again for all of your help.

I have had FSUIPC4 for many years and it worked perfectly. I set it up for all the planes I have, Buttons, axis etc. It probably is not an FSUIPC4 problem. I will pursue the FSX/Saitek connection. Thanks for your help.
