  1. OK...I am relieved, I just spent 1/2 hr browsing my scenery folders and was thinking that I was missing a ST915140.bgl with the streams or something.

I was not overly upset at not seeing streams but as you know in the spring especially the hills of BC are usually alive with runoff from snowmelt.

You know your making a good point about seeing the creeks and whether or not they are missed. I looked over your Columbia Gorge streams and was tying my Mt Rainier streams into that and am finding I am taking an incredible amount of time on creeks, and have to literally paint the entire creek system, varing the creek widths from 10-15m and on upward to wider 40-50m as I work down in elevation. And then match them up with default stream somewhere along the line. A great pain, but the product looks good in alpine and steep mountain areas.

A classic question - the amount of time required vs. whether the final product is that much better off in the end.

    cheers

  2. Flying around Squamish area, I started noticing that while the rives were in exquist detail, and there were some creeks, I couldn't find many if any in the near by mountains.

Here is a screenshot of a gorge that I would have expected a creek. Can you please advise on the level of creek detail that I should be seeing?

    Location details of screenshot:

  3. Can't believe it! As I am from British Columbia, I am, well, sort of baised in my comments. Boy am I glad these fellows are from here and love to work on West Coast North America scenery. My addon scenery is so full of their stuff its incredible. I had to carefully go through the manual and follow all instructions on compatible scenery (because I have almost every item they listed) ...did I mention that they put out the most incredible manual...well laid out, easy to follow, detailed instructions that deal with levels of intallation that is not often seen anywhere else...great professional presentation.

As I have dabbled into scenery design, I can really appreciate the time and efforts that go into this sort of thing. How will Microsoft be able to compete in any new version of FS?

I just flew and slewed around for about 3 hours and found tons of interesting details. I know this area like the back of my hand and that includes backwoods logging roads and areas that are wonderfully replicated. Thanks for this guys.

I actually found myself being a little critical on a couple of points and had to slap myself silly and bring myself back to reality. I couldn't believe that I was being critical. I am satisfied customer and believe that I got very good value for my money.

Holger, your old alma mater looks pretty good...my son will hopefully be going there next year.

This scenery is so incredible that I shutter (forgive me guys) at listing some ideas on improvements...and this is only because the standard is so high already that someone like me who knows the area very well might find little items worth noting. Here are some project enhancement ideas that come to mind after only a short exposure to the scenery.

UBC (University of British Columbia) needs a major workover if someone is inclined.

The "suphur" piles on the north shore need an enhancement to replicate the actual look of the real thing.

A capilano suspension bridge would be really neat.

The Telus building in Burnaby is fantastic, now we need to make a Swangaard Stadium.

And now that Stanley Park looks like Stanley Park, an enhancment with the pools, and walkway and trails would be possible, and of course the mermaid (or did I miss that in my fly pass).

I might take on some of these once I finish my other scenery projects.

FIRST CLASS PRODUCT! INCREDIBLE DETAIL AND CUSTOM OBJECTS AND TEXTURES!

Sorry if this sounds like some sort of promotional review, but I am very happy with this addition and just wanted to share my enthusiasm.

    cheers
