Great idea and I like the "fritz" idea.

They don't tell you its 'cutting edge' - they don't need to. Its like comparing a Japanese sword with a Bic throw away razor. Both are sharp and could do you some serious damage but the former is a functional work of art made by a craftsman who loves his work and imparts much of himself into it.
Cliff- I think you just captured it perfectly. Our departed colleague and friend Art Nichols once called Bill "Michaelangelo" and I have never been able to argue that.

P.S: does anyone know if i can order it using my hotmail account?
(just an after thought)
Yes, your hotmail account will work just fine

Well, since Don is winding down, perhaps I will stir the pot a bit.
In FS98 a guy named Bill Lyons INVENTED the working VC. It was impossible of course. But he did it anyway because he preferred flying in the VC. Over the years, he has been a leader in making VCs and there are a large group of us that don't fly any other way. He initially wanted to leave the 2D panel out of this pack but put in a "rudimentary" 2D panel for those who have to have one. HOWEVER, since the model is built around and designed to be flown from the VC, perhaps this package is not for everyone. Those who require 2D panel should perhaps look elsewhere. Mike Stone has made a Goose with a 2D and no VC. Maybe for some that is a better choice.
I for one will not try to convince anyone to buy the TOGM package.

Holy smoke Doc... I am in awe. I wish I had said that :)

One detail that I can´t figure out is how to define a gas/fuel place? I remember that someone here did that for the emergency EMMA, but I don´t remember seeing how it was done.
I did that with Airport for Windows. The new SDK method described above is much easier to use.

Those are for FS2002 and are not compatable with FS9

Yes, about 6am your time LOL; Heli had just got up when i quit to go to bed

Yes, indeed. I usually find nobody there so it was nice to have company. I'll try to get on earlier now that testing is done.

Beta testing can indeed be hard work. The biggest pain for me is having a deadline. But still, I am lucky to have possibly the best beta testing job in FS and to work with a group of testers who all take it seriously.

Still, I'm reminded of that old saying: "Don't wrestle with pigs; you'll only get dirty, and the pigs will love it."
Ha Doc-
I like that one having grown up on a pig farm. My mother always said, "Never match wits with an un-armed man."

That Lands End paint is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait. Bill got me to finally fly twins and the Commanders are great.

Its too easy actually. Like shotgunning fish in a 10 qt. pail. But it keeps me in shape for the bigger game LOL.

What a beautiful aircraft. I'll be looking forward to this one. Thanks!!!

You can find all things "soaring" here
http://virtualsoaring.org/goto.html
I recommend gliders by Max Roodveldt and Wolfgang Piper.
Read the small print for FS2002 because all versions of FS are served.

Ken Nelson has a page with lots of helpful stuff including a tutorial on background maps. Go here: http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/webads/design.htm

Bob, that's the best, most concise summary of the tools available I have seen. Only FSE was left out and that's really another animal altogether.
Francois, can you make that message a permanent part of a FAQ somewhere? I know we don't have a cenery design forum but this question comes up in 4-5 forums onm a regular basis

Darn it, my knee won't stop jerking long enough to add a comment

Not to beat a dead horse but Bill Lyons' Piper J-3 Cub is now freeware. Wanna guess what my favorite is?
Others that come out of the hangar now and then include
Fred Choate's Cessna 172 straight-tail on floats
The g-Force Cessna 150 (made for FS8 but works great in FS9)
The incredible Maule by Mikko & company
Arik Hohmeyer's fantastic better than payware L-10 Electra
Tom Miller's assorted Monocoupes
Thanks to the authors listed above and apologies to those I have forgotten.

I read several forums here on a fairly regular basis and one day notoiced the EFFC forum and dropped in out of curiosity

I try to get on Terry's 67.38.117.13 sometime each evening. In fact at 10:20pm EDT I am there now.
