  1. Hi Pete, Thanks for the advice. I'll try it in windowed mode and investigate further. Jim
  2. This is problem I have had intermittently over the years - both with Win 7 and now Win 10 using FSX. When I select "Select for FS Control" (little white square), the drop down selection box opens but won't stay open. Sometimes it opens for a couple of seconds and other times maybe 5 or 6 seconds then closes. It won't stay open long enough to scroll down to make an assignment . Other times it stays open as it should and I can make a selection. Sometimes it will go a long time and work properly while other times (like now) it doesn't. Am using the latest version of FSUIPC. Thanks for any help. Jim
  3. Hi Pete, As to the problem of the Add-Ons not appearing, I have noticed that whenever it happens to me it is when I load FSX after having been on-line. I can load FSX from a cold boot and as long as I haven't been on-line, the Add-Ons appear everytime, no matter how many times I load and shutdown FSX. If I have been on-line, then log off, the next time I load FSX, the problem will occur most of the time. Not always, however. When it does occur, the next time I try to go on-line, I connect to the internet ok but no web pages will load. Says server can't be found. The only cure then is to shut down and reboot the puter. Don't know if this info is new to anyone or if it will help in trying to figure this thing out. Jim
  4. Hi Pete, I too have experienced the problem of no "Add-Ons" appearing on the FSX task bar. For me the problem in intermittant in that sometimes when FSX starts up it is there. The next time it may or not be there. I don't have any add-on applications to the basic FSX. I also just use the default Windows XP Firewall application. The one thing I have noticed, however, is that every time that the "Add-ons" don't appear, I also get the "Differential Brakes" readout. When I do get the "Add-Ons", brake notification is ok. Whenever this happens I have to reboot the computer to get it all to work normally. Any further ideas on this? Thanks, Jim
  5. Hey Pete, I went and deleted everything FSUIPC except the .key file and reinstalled. Everything works ok now. I had already deleted it before checking the reversers so not sure if one was selected or not. I never have tried to do anything with the reversers so I'm not sure if that was the problem or not. I do know that of the planes that the mixture control work vs. the planes that did not-the default C172 worked but the default C182 did not and they are both single engines. Oh well, all is good now. Thanks for your help. Jim
  6. OK Pete. I'll go through everything again to see what happens. What took me by surprise is that for a long time I've been flying planes that are either jet or if prop, the mixture worked ok. Then yesterday I tried to fly one I haven't flown for awhile and the mixture wouldn't adjust. Upon checking other planes with mixture controls some would work ok but others wouldn't. After trying everything I could think of, including changing mouse's (mice) the problem stayed the same. Just as a thought I deleted FSUIPC.dll and all was well. After reinstalling FSUIPC and not accessing it at all, the problem returned. That's why I assumed it was the cause of the problem. I have never blamed FSUIPC on any other problem I have encountered. Have been very satisfied with the program. Any way, I'll try again. Thanks. Jim
  7. All I can say is that when FSUIPC is not on my system, the mouse controls the mixture ok. When it is on my system it works on some planes and not others. Doesn't matter if they are the default or not. I still have FS2002 on my computer and it works fine. There is something about the later versions that make it screw up. I have never had this problem before. Thanks.
  8. In FS9 with FSUIPC ver 3.50 installed I cannot control fuel mixture using the mouse on some airplanes. Some work ok. Never had this problem before. I can still control mixture using the keyboard but I have always used the mouse. When I remove ver. 3.50 from my system it works ok. I downloaded and installed ver 3.52 but have the same problem. Older versions caused me no problems at all. My Ch Flight Sim yoke does not have a mixture control which is why I have always used the mouse. Even on those planes where the mouse won't move the mixture control it will still move the throttle and prop controls. Any help will be appreciated. Jim
