Does anyone know if there is a site or document about using VB6 with FSUIPC? Specifically I want to use it to format data from the serial port to display on an LCD module. I've tried FSLCD but it's for the parallel port and I want to use serial. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi there, Danny.

Yes, the FSUIPC SDK includes a VB specific section - two actually, one for VB.NET and one for Legacy VB. There's a Word document called "FSUIPC for programmers" which has a lot of usefull info, and a sample application in VB to show how it works.

VB's native support for the serial port isn't the best, though, but there are several good add on controls available.

Richard,

I've downloaded the SDK and trying to figure out what I'm doing. Looks like it's going to take more VB experience than I have. Will see what I can do with it but may be better to go with the parallel LCD's and not try to re-invent the wheel. Thanks for your help my friend.

Hi,

I'm a Mechatronic Student of Colombia, and i'm restoring a very old simulator named GAT 1.

The main idea is to use MSFS as simulation software.

It's very important for me to adquire the pitch, heading and bank from MSFS and to send some signals to offests of MSFS.

I have some SDK examples, one of them named FSinterrogate by Pete Dowson and works very good, but the VB5.0 code don't runs and i don't know what's happening with VB6.0

If you have some code examples that run good, please send to me.

Thanks a lot

Cali - Colombia.
