drskyking Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Will WIDEFS allow me to run FS2002 on my main computer and then run Squawkbox and AVC and other things such as servinfo on my laptop screen using my wireless LAN at my house without making me reclick and hit P constantly on my FS Window to keep un-pausing FS? Also can I run FS in full screen mode without it pausing when I access the other windows. I have tried Maxivista and it is nice that is lets me use my laptop screen but it keeps pausing FS when I click SB or AVC. Seems that I can't install SB on the laptop as it is looking for FS2002 which is on my desktop. Is there a work around. Thank you. Robert Robert ( I have the latest registered FSUIPC 3)
Jamie Fox Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Yes, you can do this with WideFS. Yes, you can fix the pausing problem: see the option 'pause on task switch' in Flight Sim (probably in a section with the word 'general' in its name), you need to turn it off; it's on by default.
drskyking Posted December 7, 2004 Author Report Posted December 7, 2004 Thank you! Do you know how to install squawkbox on a second computer without FS on it and then use it on WideFS?
Jamie Fox Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 That should be possible just by using the Squawkbox installer, although there might be a problem if you don't have FS installed at all. If so, then you should be OK just copying the Squawkbox directory manaully. Make sure you run SBHost before Squawkbox itself.
drskyking Posted December 7, 2004 Author Report Posted December 7, 2004 Thank you. I will try copying the squawkbox directory as you suggest tonight!
