Taking FS2004 Flying on a Laptop

Recommended Posts

Given that by using FSUIPC one can read and write offsets for everything from altitude, longitude, latitude, heading, etc, has anyone tried using GPS NMEA 0182 output to update the values in FS2004 to give a real-time view of a flight? It would be great to see a flight recorded from takeoff to landing and view it is a movie afterwards. I've already done a fair bit of work on my own glass cockpit design but was wondering if anyone has already done the above or is in the process of it?
