Ok Peter

Solved that one, reading the text which is displayed after fsuipc4 is installed I noticed that the wrong fsx.cfg was being found. This was under another older name which I had changed on XP reinstallation, I should have deleted this which I now have done and so far all is well and of course i have an addons item on menu bar.

Thanks for your help and I hope not to trouble you too many times in future.
