PeteEHAM Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 Hi, OK, I had some trouble with simconnect so I tried the solution in the post above to manually delete the C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect entries..... Doing a repair of FSX as suggested and reinstalling SP1 and SP2 did NOT reinstall the C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect entries again!! OK, so I decided to do a fresh clean install of FSX, SP1 and SP2 as well as the FSX SDK, SDK SP1A and SDK SP2. And again still no luck................. I'm running Vista 64 bit with UAC turned off. Anybody out there with a solution for me?? PeteEHAM
JSkorna Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 Hi, Right click on the Installer Icon and Run......As Administrator.
PeteEHAM Posted June 28, 2009 Author Report Posted June 28, 2009 Hi, As I said UAC is turned off. Nevertheless I always right click to install as administrator... This time without any luck..... Anyway after searching the internet I found out that the only solution is a reinstall of Vista.... I'm lucky to have only FSX installed on this computer................ Pete EHAM
