Understanding registration process

My FS system computers are not connected to the internet. The computer connected to the internet I would use to purchase my registration key in not connected, in any way, to the FS system. Is the key generated dependent only to the computer with which I purchased the key? In other words, can I purchase the key on this computer then type in the key on my FS system?

Correct, you can enter the key on a different PC than you used to pay for the license - that's exactly how I obtained my license (which has now been transferred to its third PC in turn!)
