Mark52 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Posted May 15, 2012 Hello! I am unable to find any FSUIPC codes for the "Stall Heat" function in the Carenado C208 Grand and Super CargoMaster versions. It is controlled by an on/off switch in the lower left-hand corner of the pilot's instrument panel. It controls the heat which is applied to the stall warning sensor. There is no rheostat or pot - it's controlled by the switch alone. I want to control this function with FSUIPC instead of the mouse. I've searched the PDF titled "Revised List of FSX Controls in Numeric Order" - it isn't listed there. I also can't find a similar function listed in the FSX controls under the "Options" menu either. I searched your forum using various combinations of the keywords "stall" "heat" and "sensor". Nothing was displayed that referred to the stall heat function's code. Also, Google failed to find anything referring to this function's FSUIPC code either. Should I contact Carenado instead of you? I thought it best to contact you first... Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark
Ian P Posted May 16, 2012 Report Posted May 16, 2012 Hello Mark, I'm not Pete, but can answer at least part of your question. The reason you cannot find that in an FSX control list is that it isn't an FSX control - the function does not exist in and is not recognised by FSX - it's unique to, also known as "local to", the Carenado Caravans. If you take a look at the FSUIPC documentation for "Local Variables" or "LVars" then you should be able to find out how to find out what the LVar is and the methods you can use to control it through FSUIPC. Hope that helps at least a little bit. Cheers, Ian P.
Mark52 Posted May 16, 2012 Author Report Posted May 16, 2012 Hello Ian, I don't care who it is as long as they have the answer. It certainly seems that you do! Thanks so much - I haven't looked at the resources you mentioned but I'm sure it will work. As long as the LVar for that has a "6" code associated with it, I'll be able to use it. Thanks again, V/R, Mark
