Jacko42
Hi I know this problem is on the FAQ topic but I've done everything it says and all speech recognition is working. The simulator is working fine and all instructions are being understood, apart from no pilot voices. I get all the back ground sounds such as engines and cars openAL is installed. Speech is set to EN English (united states) I've installed and uninstalled several times. I'm using Windows XP and sound drivers are up to date. I''ve only just restarted using my pc again after a long time and just re downloaded Tower 2011 from my email link. It shows Tower 2011m- sp4 , version 4.777.955 I remember this problem back in 2011 but i sorted it. But for the life of me i can't remember how. I'd appreciate any help. I''ve been messing about with this for a couple of days. It's goto be something simple. Just for me! Regards John
Foxy78
Hello, I have no idea whether this is relevant: I had the same problem after installing Tracon! 2012. Comparing the files in the "Tracon! 2012 directory" with those in the "Tower! 2011 directory", it appeared that the OpenAL32.dll file was missing in the "Tracon! 2012 directory". I copied/pasted this file into the "Tracon! 2012 directory", and afterwards the pilot voices could be heard correctly. Best regards, Philippe
