Hi Peter

Me again.

I decided to buy a new computer in anticipation of fsx . I got it last week and set up fs9.1 and fsx

I purchased and registered fsuipc and widefs , and started by setting up fs9.1 to make sure the computer was running properly

The problem I am having is that widefs client will connnect to the server , but only for a short time, after several seconds ( 15?) it drops the connection. Now I can send you the logs tonight , but I wondered given all of your experience if there is one particular reason for this . The only change I made to the client ini was to add the server name. I did not specify the ip address.

I am only running avs on the client at this time,

Thank you for all of you prior help.

If the frame rate is too low for too long the auto-restart might be kicking in. But it should keep reconnecting then. Try changing the "RestartTime" parameter in the WideServer.INI to 0 to switch that action off.

Whether this is the problem or not can easily be seen in the Server's Log. If it isn't this I'd need to see noth Server and client logs.

Regards

Pete
