When I open P3D, I get 2 error messages from FSUIPC. This is repeatable. First case was FlyTampa CYYZ. Second was FSDT CYVR. The aircraft in both instances was PMDG 777-200LR. It doesn't seem to affect the simulation, other than VAS usage appears to be higher from the outset (that could be my imagination). Here's a copy of the log. These two errors: 1919 Hook Error: can't find .42 in SIM1.dll 1919 Hook Error: can't find .42 in VISUALFX.dll indicate an error trying to install the FSUIPC4 wind smoothing facility. This either means your WEATHER, SIM1 and/or VISUALFX.DLL are not correct, i.e. not the version 12944 builds I have here, OR possibly attempting to use ASN (which uses the same hooking methods) before ASN has been updated for 12944 is causing the conflict. doesn't ASN report an error? I does for others with 12944. They only recently updated for the original 2.5 release. Additionally, this line 1919 ASN active function link set is odd. That shouldn't occur if ASN is working correctly. I think it is something fixed by ASN automatically when you first load it -- it then says you need to close P3D/FSX and restart it. As you say, it'll probably do no harm. It's just that neither FSUIPC's wind smoothing, nor ASN's smoothing or direct cloud control, will work. In fact I'm surprised ASN carries on regardless -- did you ignore the error message box it produced? If you OK it ASN will terminate. Pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

See this thread: http://www.hifitechi...22370#post22370 If you are, indeed, using that Beta, then something else is odd. Please check that the version numbers of the three DLLs I mentioned are, indeed, 12944. (Right-click on the DLL and select Properties). It comes up with an error which, if you press OK, will terminate it. I'm afraid I've no idea why the wind smoothing and text message hooks don't work for you but I suspect it's to do with trying to run a version of ASN which isn't compatible. Try without the ASN modules and EXEs loading (they are in the EXE.XML and DLL.XML files). I notice that the text window hook didn't work for you with 4.939d too. but perhaps you have NewInterceptTextMenu set to "No" in your FSUIPC4.INI file? Oddly, the only difference between 4.939d and 4.939e is the support for the upcoming FSX-SE 62610. The P3D stuff is identical. But the order of actions between ASN and FSUIPC, hooking the same weather places, can vary. The only other changes are in the Installer for FSUIPC4, not the DLL. Once with as_serv enabled in dll.xml, once with it disabled and finally, with as_serv disabled and NewInterceptTextMenu=Yes . On second attempt, I have 'Wind smoothing fix is fully installed'. On third attempt, I have both of the missing log messages. Rather than clutter up the post, I posted a folder with the 3 logs on OneDrive. gfd Posted March 7, 2015 Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 I uninstalled all scenery and reverted back to virgin P3D scenery state with the latest hotfix. Virgin includes original scenery.cfg, terrain.cfg, original scenery, original textures, original effects, etc. Then installed Orbx Global, Vector and PNW. Also installed Don Grovestine's CYYJ. I reinstalled 4.9393e and ran Orbx Bob at CYYJ. There were zero error messages when opening P3D. Active Sky Next SP2 build 5540 was running on the networked machine. I'm not sure what this proves, other than the errors went away after 3rd party scenery removal. I am including the log FYI. Unless there is something else you would like me to do, I won't post again unless the errors return as I install additional scenery items. Thanks for looking in on this.
