  1. I bound a 3-way switch for the TBM 930 using the presets in FSUIPC.  It works good, however, the switch in the plane doesn't move. How can I get the switch to move?  When I switch from off to max then auto, I get the messages on the PDF that it's working.  Just no switch moving in the panel.

    Would this lua work with a three way switch?  I've made some boards with toggle switches, buttons and three way switches.  I have some planes in P3D v4.5 that I use lua files to turn on/off taxi lts, and landing lights when on one switch.  But I don't know about MSFS.  I just want one of my switches to be down: off, middle: taxi lights, up: landing lights, then middle; landing lights off, taxi lights on, then down: all off.  Or is there an easier way.

  3. The PMDG support team had me start the 737 in the default mode with engines running.  I have been using a start that had just the ground power running.  When I did, it still does the same thing, comes on 1 second later turns off. Here's the log:

    By the way the landing lights are working fine now.  So it's just the taxi lights.  Which worked just fine in FSX:SE and my PMDG 777 works fine using it's custom controls.  I'm at a loss.  And if I use the mouse to turn on and off the taxi lights, when I turn it on the lights go on then off, but the switch is still on. I attached my ini file.

    FSUIPC5.ini

  4. I've been flying my PMDG 737 for sometime in P3D v4.5 with the latest FSUIPC 5.  Haven't done any night flights until lately.  I discovered that when I turned on the taxi lights, they weren't showing on the ground.  From the external view, when I turned on the taxi lights, they came on for about a second then went off.  My other lights work fine.  My PMDG 777 all exterior lights work.  I use the control number 69749 from the pmdg pdf file for the 737.  I've also, turned off that switch and just clicked on the switch in the ovh in vc, but still goes off after a second.  Over at the PMDG forum they said I should move the FSUIPC temp to see it works then.  The thing is that I use FSUIPC for all my commands.  So would I need to activate the controlers in p3d v4 and would all I have to move temporally the ini file?  Or would I need to move any others to test it without FSUIPC.  I just thought that having the taxi lights unassigned to FSUIPC would be enough without basically removing.  Or do you have anything I could check that could fix the problem.

  5. I logged the test and here's what I got.

    Roman, I changed the Max and Min around since like the tcas inc the max was 4.  tcas was 0-4 and I didn't want it to go higher.  I don't know what the error means ')' expected near ')' or what needs to change.

  6. Here's what I came up with for the TCAS and autobrake in 1 lua file.

    ---------------------------------------------
    --Parameters by Number
    ---------------------------------------------
    --1    Turn TCAS Clockwise one position
    --2    Turn TCAS Counter Clockwise one position
    --3    Turn Autobrake clockwise one position
    --4    Turn Autobrake Counter Clockwise one postion

    ---------------------------------------------
    ----Variables
    ---------------------------------------------
    "L:QW_AFT_Transponder_Knob"

    "L:auto_brake_switch"

    --------------------------------------------
    ---- Scripts
    --------------------------------------------

    --Inc TCAS
    if ipcPARAM == 1 then

    n = ipc.readLvar("L:QW_AFT_Transponder_Knob")
        n = n + 1
        If n > 4
        end

        else
    ipc.writeLvar(L:QW_AFT_Transponder_Knob", n)

        end
    end

    --Dec TCAS
    if ipcPARAM == 2 then

    n = ipc.readLvar("L:QW_AFT_Transponder_Knob"}
        n = n - 1
        if n < 0
        end

        else
    ipc.writeLvar("L:QW_AFT_Transponder_Knob" n)

        end
    end

    --Inc Autobrakes
    if ipcPARAM == 3 then

    n = ipc.readLvar("L:auto_brake_switch")
        n = n + 1
        if n > 6
        end

        else
    ipc.writeLvar("L:auto_brake_switch", n)

        end
    end

    --Dec Autobrakes
    if ipcPARAM == 4 then

    n = ipc.readLvar("L:auto_brake_switch")
        n = n - 1
        if n < -1
        end

        else
    ipc.writeLvar("L:auto_brake_switch", n)

        end
    end

    I had it read the value of the switch, then add 1 or subtract 1.  And check to see if n was more than 4 or less than 0 for the tcas, and more than 6 or less than -1 for the autobrake.

  7. I have Carenado  DA62 using the G1000.  I've tried using ap alt var inc and dec to change the alt, but it doesn't work. I can do the hdg,  vs with ap vs var inc and dec.  I can inc / dec speed with fsuipc.  I've asked on the Carenado da62 forum at avsim, but I don't think Carenado developers look at that site very often.  I've had about 30 people look at the message, but no responses.

  8. That's probably right.  PMDG lets you sync the the STD button.  Plus they have all their events as control codes which makes it easier for me.  And I can live with just clicking on the button.  2 of my biggest problems is the autobrake and the tcas button.  I've been trying to set up the 2 so I can use my T1, T2 for rotating the know for the tcas, and my T3, T4 rocker switches for the autobrake.  These are on my Saitek X52 stick.  Most of my other planes that use the tcas and autobrake have keyboard commands that you can make keyboard letters then assign them to switches with fsuipc.  But making a Lua file to make them move right and left is a little bad on the brain.  I've looked at all kinds of lua stuff, but it gets confusing.

  9. I'm using a simple LUA file to switch the capt baroset STD select.  The button is a stay constant on button.  It comes on, but when I push the button again it doesn't change the select button on the panel.  Then when I push again it changes. I have to push the button 2x to get the panel to go on then off, then 2x to go back on.  I have other aircraft that I use constant on/off switches/buttons that it works.

    STD Select.lua

  10. It turned out to be the database.  I let Navigraph fms data manager do a search and now it does the correct database.  I guess ejets in fsx:se used the mdb and not db3 database files.  It's working now.

  11. Yes I did and I disable my anti-virus software also till I'm done.  I also have my sims excluded from the AV so they don't get messed up.  I'll reinstall again.  Oh and one more thing is the airac when I install has nd.db3, but when I update with navigraph, its nd.mdb.  Shouldn't they match?

  12. Well most of the time when I start either the 175 or 195 in cold/dark the VC clickspots don't work and I can't start it up.  If I use ready to start, the displays are blank and the overhead clickspots don't work.  The 2d popups do, but nothing turns on.  Sometimes after going to an airport with the default plane and select the house plane, the VC works and the displays are on and the overhead panel works.  Then I switch to one of the addon planes like the 2016 Alaska 175.  It might work or work for a little while.  It's pretty iffy.  I'd like to get it working like it should.  This is for p3d v4.4

  13. I bought the wilco ejets 175/195 for p3d v4 and been having problems getting it to work.  I contacted wilco about it.  Then today I got an email from them saying:

    Dear Sir,

    The E-Jets serie is not compatible with P3Dv4.X.

    To let us keep track of this e-mail, please reply without changing the content. Thank You !

    Best regards,

    Christophe Modave

    Technical Consultant

    EASA ATPL(A)

    Yet on the product page it said it was for (P3D v4).  After I installed it, it's folders are Feelthere.  Is the ejets on the Feelthere site the same as Wilco's?  If not, I'll get a refund from Wilco and get the one on Feelthere's .
