I have found what I was looking for. It was an article by Thomas Richter https://forum.simflight.com/topic/90988-installing-and-registering-fsuipc7-and-widefs7/
-
I did search the forum, and came across your 2 posts and more. But as I said I am not past basics, The above posts and more. I couldn't make head nor tale of. The post I was looking for was very plain what to do

Probably a year or so ago, I came across an article where someone explained how to set up the (In my case) Honeycombe Bravo trim wheel using an offset like this "{offset sword increment, offset 0BC0 (Incr=190, Limit=16200)}". As I'm only familiar with the basics of FSUIPC, this had a great walkthrough. I'm assuming it was from this forum. Any ideas out there would be much appreciated.

Ok Thanks John
-
Thanks guys. Will have a look
-
As it says in title. Are there any offset tutorials for complete beginners?
-
I read somewhere that because of a bug in MSFS 2020. It is always advisable, after aircraft is loaded, to run all Axes to there full extents before anything else. Is this still necessary for FSUIPC users?
-
Don't think so. Its in C:/ FSUIPC7
-
Ok Many thanks John. I did purposely install MSFS outside the C drive, but sneaky Microsoft stilled slipped in there 😀. Am I right in thinking it doesn't matter which you start up first, and that FSUIPC doesn't have to run as Admin ?

The AppsFolder just says Microsoft Flight Simulator. And to start sim I have one icon in the Start Menu and the ususl one I use on the Task Bar neither have a Properties option including AppsFolder (ie via right clicking ). The exe file has the following url C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.12.13.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Hope this helps Paul

Thanks for your reply. I can open the shell:AppsFolder manually using your above method , and can see MSFS in there. As for running bat file as Admin, I get the splash screen then FSUIPC7 starts but no sim. I have no idea about setting variables for the AppsFolder. Many thanks Paul

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have the Store version fully up to date. And no I'm not that savvy on what is in the .bat file. Just for your info MSFS folder is on my E drive ( ie the one with Community and Official folders inside ) And a very Happy New Year to you both Paul MSFSwithFSUIPC7.bat

While were on the subject. Mine never opens MSFS2020. Any ideas why
-
Thanks Pete. I did as you said, and in my case changed the ini file to read 1=Cessna Skyhawk G1000 and now all liveries work fine. Many Thanks Paul
-
I have assigned axes's and buttons to my MSFS2020 Cessna 172, and have noticed it is Livery specific. How can I copy these to all Cessna 172 liveries
-
Thanks John. I was wondering about this and thought perhaps a cut and paste might work. But no I won't bother now . Many thanks for replying. Paul

Or does anyone have a working .ini file with the A320Neo I could swap in for a few days. As I said in previous text. This is not a plane I personaly would fly Thanks
-
This is a cheeky question. But I have a freind who will be looking after my house and dogs over Xmas. Is there anywhere I can download a A320 neo (MSFS2020) FSUIPC 7 profile to keep him ammused. I am more into vfr planes. Many thanks

Thanks John. Yes the log file looks to me like FSUIPC7 shut down normaly. I have attached log. Thanks again Paul FSUIPC7.log

FSUIPC and the MSFS regularly crashes to desktop shortly before landing. Approx 5 miles out. Any ideas what could be causing this would be much appreciated. Thanks Paul

Never done a Null/Dead zone. But I'm sure I'll find it in the user guide. I love watching tutorial videos, but find I get the impression there not sure of what there talking about. So its always good to get feedback from yourself. Many thanks Paul
-
Ok Thanks John. In that case I won't worry about it

Hi, I have the logitech Rudder Pedals, and when calibrating with FSUIPC 7 the centre value settles at 64. Surely this should be 0 or am I missing something.
-
Ok Many Thanks John for all your help. Im going to uninstall restart computer and re install with your default settings, because at the moment it is on my E drive. I have also attached my .bat file for your perusal. Once again Many Thanks Paul MSFSwithFSUIPC7.txt

I can't open the .bat as a Commant Prompt to see any details, it just instantly runs your splash screen. Yes I do use Addons Linker but only as a replacement for the Community folder, and not to start MSFS. I know this has been asked before, but can you tell me personaliy the best way to completely uninstall FSUIPC7 including any registry items. Then I will re install to default locations
