Does anyone then maybe know if it's somehow possible to change the separation at which new aircraft are coming in for landing instead?

As it happens I'm an airline pilot in real life and especially at busier airports it is very common that tower controllers issue speed restrictions all the time such as, "maintain XXX kts (or greater) until 5 miles final" or "reduce minimum speed" or whatever speed is needed to ensure seperation. But thank you for making clear that it is not possible to add to this game.
