I was looking through the lazarra screenshot on the add-on boats page of the main VS page, and noticed that the water looked very... bump mapped. I was wondering if it was Ilan that took the pic ( http://hangsim.com/vs/images/downshots/lazarra.jpg ) from his own pc and his recent version of the next VS.
Im off to examine more pics. l8er all

Hello all, I am very sorry about my absense the last day or two, but I went to motor around the lake and ran the prop into a submerged stump, but I just got back a minute ago.
Im working around with all the .cfg files, and it still does not show up. Im not sure what to try next.
I'll post if anything new comes up.

I use 3DS Max, GMax's big brother for all of my modelling needs. Its not the program tho, its something about where all the .cfg files are and what info is in them i think.

Damn spook, just great. Very atmospheric. Did you use some filter to take some color out? It looks very dark-gray-ish which looks nice.

I had some more non-computer buisness to do for a while. but I'm still here.
I would not mind resizing it if nobody else raises an eye, but even if i do
resize, I still do not have working lifeboats as dial.x.
I'll look around for any tips or inspiration, in the meantime, how long is the
Monarch supposed to be?

i did it as dial.x and it doesnt show up, anything im missing? Only lights.x worked, but they glow in the dark with no color... anyone know an answer? Ron?

Oh yeah, resizing. I dont think i can do that, as that would be a modification to the model, and as you know I dont have permission for soething like that.

In last pic, davit model sticks out a little and there are 6 in front and 3 in back.. will fix both of these problems in a minute. btw-is there anything else needed or that i am missing? If not I'll be done very soon.

oops, i have fixed it now, and i also rotated the davits
so their facing the right direction. see pic...

More Progress

Heres a pic of my current progress. It shows
the newly placed (all 9 of them not 10) lifeboat
and davits in 3ds max. I will change their color
and edit them just a little bit for a more
realistic fit. Dont worry tho, I am not going to
modify the boat.x in any way. I actually
loaded it into 3ds max, and used ot for
reference for the locations of the lifeboats. I
will soon delete the boat and seve the
collection of lifeboats as dial.x as Monarch
does not have one already. More pics in a few....

When I get done all depends on how life in
general goes. im downloading the pack that
has "Monarch of the Seas" right now, and will
get the boat&davit model in a few minutes,
and possiably could be done within a day, as
all I have to do is place the lifeboats in their
locations and test it all out, but I really have
no idea.

Ron, your a genius. I would've never thought of adding them as an instrument. NE way, I've been very busy l8ely with outside work, but I should try to get somehting done ASAP. i will post if anything comes up.
btw-Carnival, it seems that were not very far away, I'm in Central Arkansas, just ta' let ya' know.

My first thought would be that it is a memory prob. It seems to be keeping just the first area's objects, and then when moved, doesn't load the rest for the next area.
