  1. Hi John or Pete.

    Is it possible to add an additional custom Autosave option to save the Weather section in the .FLT file in a way where the loaded Saved flight

    gives access to the weather option icon in the MSFS toolbar menu where the user knows real weather is still being used and also gives access

    to be able to manually set your time of choice or back to real time which is what I actually use myself if continuing a saved or even crashed flight?

    Currently (SU9) time can only be set in hourly increments when only in Dev Mode in MSFS which in turns also disables any flight logging in the logbook.

    From:

    [Weather]
    UseWeatherFile=False
    UseLiveWeather=True
    WeatherPresetFile=
    WeatherCanBeLive=False
    CloudmapPosOverride=False
    CloudmapInitialPosX=0
    CloudmapInitialPosY=0
    FixedClouds=False

    To:  Optional

    [Weather]
    UseLiveWeather=True
    WeatherCanBeLive=True

    Hello Volker,

    Can you recommend a temporarily workaround with databasemanager being used from previous version that we can incorporate in FSC9.7 to be used for P3D4.1 ? All until a descend fixed version is available...

    I'm back to using FSC 9.6, but rather wish to use the 9.7 (or 9.8 64bits) version :-) Goodluck and hopefully we see your solution quickly.

    Kind regards,

    Peter Souren

    My latest workaround due to having to reinstall everything is to mirror my V4 airport mods into P3D V3 and run the database manager using V3 as the reference.

  3. Hi Volker,

    The DB manager does not seem to pick up runways, taxiways and ILS freqs using the latest ADE for P3D v4.

    The bgl file info shows correct in FSC on AP lookup.

    BGLs are installed properly via xml file and everything shows up correctly in the P3D Map regarding rwys and ILS freqs.

    Not sure if this is an FSC or ADE issue.

    Here is a clip from the end of the latest DB log with the bgls I am using:

    Thanks for the continue support Volker, as others have suggested I'd be more than happy to pay for an update as I know there are significant changes in P3D V4 that require some work your end to make FSC work with P3D V4.

    Cheers, Rob.

    Well I did manage to get it to update my database and save a flightplan so that is all I need at this point in time until an update comes around.

  5. You could do that quite easily with a little Lua plug-in. In fact it was exactly for implementing such little things that I added the Lua interpreter in the first place.

    The easiest way to do it would be to simply have a Lua program like this:

    time = 0
    while time < 240*60 do
       ipc.sleep(1000)  -- do nothing for a second
       time = time + 1  -- count the second
    end
    ipc.writeUW(0x0262, 1) -- set Pause

    Save that in the FS modules folder as, say "Wait240.lua", and then you can assign a key or button to "Lua Wait240". When used it will do nothing for 240 minutes then set the Pause.

    Of course you can make it much cleverer than that if you like. You could read the FS time offset and have it pausing after an elapsed time in FS rather than in real time. And you could either supply the period, in minutes, as the Parameter to the Lua plug-in, or even use the "ipc.ask" function to ask the user for the time value.

    Going further, of course, you could read the user aircraft's position and when the distance from a defined point is reached, set the pause then. The permutations are almost endless, and all with a few relatively easy lines in a text file.

    Regards

    Pete

    The xxx miles from destination option would get my vote. I tried looking at that iwillbeback source code but it was pretty much chinese to me.

  6. Hello Volker and Sascha,

    I've got a problem in FS Commander 8.6. DBManager creates Database successfully. When I control the airports in FSComm, some (eg EHAM) haven't got ILS rwy 18L data, no symbol and no Frequencies and rwy18R no complete data. In the airport info I've searched the used AFCAD-File (here the AF2_EHAM.bgl) and loaded it in AFCAD. All information is in the .bgl, but FSComm doesn't load or interpret the data. Maybe something wrong?

    Thanks for the information.

    David

    I’ll send you my basic information:

    1. Version FS2004 (FS9 or 9.1) I don’t know how to find the information?

    2. FSUIPC 3.9

    3. FS Commander and Database Manager version download 8.6

    4. Operating System XP 32bit SP3

    Funny I only have to seem to have that problem with KEWR. I had changed an ILS freq with ADEX and although FSX picked it up in the stock map info, and I still get the changed freq correct when PFE autotune tunes the ILS the FSC database does not pick up the change. Even if it is a stock ILS, on a few other stock ILS's I had changed it gets picked up ok after a database rebuild.
