Any corelation to these numbers and my problems. << It sounds like you've run into the problem with the pots not getting seated correctly. There have been problems with that on some of the units out of the first production run. The only fix I'm aware of at the moment is to exchange the TQ. You might want to call CH Tech Support or perhaps post a message over on the board at the CH Hangar: http://www.ch-hangar.com Michael from CH normally posts over there regularly and can give you the latest info.   2. There are two virtual buttons on each lever, one should be on when the lever is in the detent and one should be on when the lever is behind the detent. My guess is you're running it with the Control Manager installed but no map running. If so, get to the calibration screen for the Quad, either through the Game Controllers "Properties" button or through the Control Manager GUI, for the Quad and click the "Throttle Settings" tab up at the top. Widen the deadzone for that axis a bit, then click the "Apply" button. Pete mentioned it taking two buttons, probably what you've got run into is that the transition from the "in-the-detent" button to the "behind-the-detent" button is happening while you're still in the detent, probably at the back edge, and it keeps bobbling between the "in-the-detent" and the "behind-the-detent" buttons. Widening the deadzone will move that transition point further back so the lever has to come out of the detent a bit further before the transition happens and it should stabilize it.   3. Hi Pete, I've had trouble with some sims when there was insufficient delay between the character changes. If the key changes didn't happen one change per frame, the sim missed the modifier. It had to see: Frame 1 - Shift Down Frame 2 - "a" Down Frame 3 - "a" Up Frame 4 - Shift Up If the shift and "a" went down or came up in the same frame, the sim missed the modifier. The release sequence mattered, too. It originally showed up when I started emulating HID keyboards for USB devices because I had the shift and the "a" in the same packet, I suspect the delay inherent in the PS2 keyboard transfers got around it in earlier times. Is this normal? << Yes. FS is calling Windows for calibration and the Control Manager replaces Windows applet with it's own for the devices it supports. It has to maintain private calibration data to operate correctly, Windows calibration data will interfere with the normal Control Manager operation. >> Or should I uninstall CH Control Manager? << It's mainly a matter of personal preference. I don't know of any reason it would interfere with what FSUIPC does, and you might find that selecting the "Axis Settings" tab (assuming you're not running a CM Map) and working with the settings there for gain, etc. results in better pedal response than you'll get with Windows. Also the Control Manager avoids a problem that occurs with Windows XP causing the pedals to stop working in some cases. It's up to you. - Bob The StickWorks http://www.stickworks.com
