  1. Re-installed v4.961 and added CallSimconnectEnd=No to the .ini file but hasn't made a diff unfortunately. What happens now is P3D launches, I then set up a free flight (PMDG 744 v3) but clicking on FSUIPC under addons doesnt bring up the FSUIPC menus.
  2. I've left the 4.961 dll in the modules folder and renamed it to FSUIPC.dll_4.961, after installing 4.959 last night. Do I need to re-run 4.961 installer or will it be enough to just change the name back to .dll?
  3. As mentioned in the other thread, I don't use Lua or Linda scripts.
  4. OK, will give that a go and let you know. Did you mean trying it with the working v4.959 or shall I reinstall 4.961?
  5. Hi Pete, Yes, sure. I'm happy to help. Will pm you my email address. I don't use any Lua or Linda scripts at all.
  6. Hi Mario, Would you mind listing how it is that you achieved this? I'm guessing you were able to keep using v4.961? I'm running FSUIPC, ASCA+AS16, FSL A320, PMDG 744, GSX (licensed), FSDT airports, UK2000 and Flightbeam. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi Pete, Quick update- got my hands on v4.959 via a fellow pilot at BAV (thank you!) and it appears to be fine for now. I'm running P3D 3.4.18.19475 (haven't installed the latest HF as I don't run SLI GPUs) and v4.959 runs fine, just as it did before the upgrade a couple of days ago. Might be a quick win for now.
  8. Sometimes there are logs and most other times not. I'm trying to get my hands on FSUIPC v4.959 which worked great on my system. You wouldnt happen to have a download link to older versions, would you Pete?
  9. Hi Pete, Thanks for taking the time. I have been following the other thread and will keep an eye on it. 10. Hi, You can find them under C:\Users\username\Documents\Prepar3D v3 Files\ I've tried deleting both but P3D still CTD. Doesn't really help at the moment. Cheers
  11. Thanks Thomas. Found it in the p3d folder, installed but not much seems to have changed.
  12. Hi, where is the simconnect installer found please?
  13. Hi Pete, I updated from v4.959 to 4.961 last night and have run into problems at sim (P3D) launch. Logs produced in Windows 10 are below: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 3.4.18.19475, time stamp: 0x5851bfd2 Faulting module name: FSUIPC4.dll_unloaded, version: 4.9.6.1, time stamp: 0x58933f1b Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00020f10 Faulting process id: 0x16b8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d27db53dcc0036 Faulting application path: E:\P3D\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: FSUIPC4.dll Report Id: e664d8ec-5763-4ba2-8d87-f753ff39efef Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Following the Avsim CTD guide, when I change the disable option from 'false' to 'true' in the dll.xml file, P3D starts up fine. Enabling it again causes a crash. Need your help please. Thanks Sumit Edit: Apologies, just to add- I also (after reading your suggestion to another user) copied just the FSUIPC.DLL to the modules folder but that yielded the same result. Also as the other user, if I reinstall FSUIPC (or GSX Addon Manager) the sim launches OK but doesn't after closing and relaunching. Thought I should add that here.
  14. Hi Pete, Thanks for taking the time to post the config. For some reason, I still need to use FSUIPC's wind smoothing when flying with ASE (DWC enabled) as I experience some wind shifts and Sturns in PMDG from time to time. My FSUIPC config is almost similar to yours except the wind smoothing. I find that without DWC is dont get any winds when cruising and not much weather/clouds either. So, for a realistic flight experience I like to have DWC turned ON but only with FSUIPC's wind smoothing. Once again, thanks for the post mate. Cheers, Sumit
  15. Hi Pete, Hope your cockpit is coming along well. Any chance you could post your ASE & FSUIPC settings for us mate? Thanks a ton. Cheers
  16. Jim, Following is the thread at HiFi's forums with detailed explanation of the issues I have with ASE: http://www2.hifisim.com/node/1232 There was the other issue about 9weeks ago with the S Turns and HiFi suggested to purchase FSUIPC, which I did and am happy with. I've also posted in the Avsim forums when I originally had the S turns. Sorry Pete, didn't mean to use your web space to rant but had to respond. Thanks
  17. Hi Jim, Good to see you here. I've posted multiple times in HiFi's forums under the same username but haven't been provided any solutions to the problems I have with ASE. I like ASE but can't seem to figure out a few things and haven't got enough help at your forums, sir. Sorry, if you've been offended but I'm just a customer trying to get my product to work as it's meant to. I'm sure you would appreciate that. Regards, Sumit
  18. Thanks Pete. I'll certainly remind you closer to next weekend. I've been flying use ASE and need to have DWC turned off cuz it causes S Turns and wind shifts. The way I see it is as if FSUIPC cannot control the winds when DWC is on. When turned off, FSUIPC handles the wind beautifuly and you don't see those shifts. I'd love to see what settings you run in ASE and FSUIPC to ensure I'm not doing anything weird. I fly FSX by the way. Cheers
  19. Thanks for your response Pete. ActiveSky's support is not the best in the world to be honest. Can I please request you to post screenies of how you've setup your ASE and FSUIPC. Many thanks in advance. Cheers
  20. Hi Pete / All, Been using FSUIPC (registered) for a while now and had a question. When using ASE, I normally disable DWC within ASE and have FSUIPC wind smoothing turned on. With this config I noticed that the departing, enroute winds and arriving wx is different from what ASE suggests. Turning DWC on in ASE seems to do the trick but only to create the dreaded S-Turns on my PMDG747 and MD11 during the flight. Can you please suggest the best practice for using ASE, PMDG and FSUIPC during a flight without any issues. Many thanks in advance. Cheers, Sumit
