  1. No sir, no change, a solid 5-7 hours of flying flawlessly with several takeoff and landings with working flaps. Only thing changed that I know of was the install of the pmdg 737. I really wish there was more I could give you to help out. There may not even be a problem except for some wierd issue with my computer and current set-up. I will triple check everything again.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  2. Pete,

I have version 3.3, I recalibrated again, removed the pmdg dll but still have the same issue. I did find out one thing though, in the cal. tab in fsuipc, the input shows from -16380 to 16380, ok, in the output window, whenever the number goes below 0, I get full flaps, which in my case is flaps10 setting. Without getting confused, flaps pos. 1,2,5 give full flaps, 10 puts the sim at flaps5 and from there on down it works. Again, only when fsuipc is outputting a positive value? As i said, it worked great for awhile then all of sudden changed?? Very strange, any other pmdg files that could be suspect? I also e-mailed them for ideas. Thanks Pete for your help.

  3. Hi Pete,

Not sure what happened but my flap lever has been working great for several flights with my new FS9 sim. Now all planes go to full flaps whenever I move the flap lever? In your cal. tab everything checks out ok? I changed over to the flaps_set axis and still got the same result. According to the fsuipc software, the flaps should be working. I did just install the pmdg 737, any ideas where to look and what for?

    Thanks,

    Rob

  4. Hi Pete,

I copied the fsuipc.ini file from fs2k2 over to fs9. It saved me alot of work! :) The only 2 problems i'm having is with reverse thrust which i had going thru the mixture axis, and spoilers which went thru the default spoiler axis. FS9 assigns these ok but FSUIPC doesn't see them in the new FS9 sim like it did in FS2K2. (the calibration tab). ANy ideas? what if any, logs/info do you need? The flaps work fine thru the pan_tilt_axis in FS9 like it did in 2K2 but should I try the new Flaps_Set axis?

    Thanks,

    Rob

  5. Hello,

I have a real 737 cockpit with several (8) joystick axis inputs used to operate all the controls and other assorted functions all done thru FSUIPC. When I upgrade to fs2004 and the new fsuipc will I need to re-do all these settings for the joysticks or can I transfer some of it over to the new set-up? It was quite the challenge to get the original throttle quad all hooked up and functioning but with fsuipc it was made alot easier. Kinda dread having to do it all over if you know what I mean?

    Thanks,

    Rob

  6. Guys, the file was new! It was created in june and it was missing the user input varibles just as Pete himself said would occur. The basics were there and that was it. No word from roger wilco yet. It was the only thing that i've changed in quite sometime now so I know it came from them, why I don't know? I'm not mad at pete at all, i was just voicing a loud concern that there is a problem. Think about it for a second, If several of your add-ons need FSUIPC then any time you upgrade or buy one is it going to replace your files without asking?? Thank god it didn't touch the ini file, I just copied the older dll file from old sim computer and now all my functions are back as well as assignments. :) Just a headsup for future reference.

    Rob

  7. I just downloaded the latest rogerwilco and guess what?!! It replace dmy FSUIPC with the new payware version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lost hours of programming buttons and axis's in my real 737cockpit!!! I am so pissed right now I could @#$%@^%!!!!!!! I don't have a problem paying but anytime I upgrade or download a new program and it installs a new FSUIPC is plain BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry but I need to vent because now knothing works in my cockpit.

  8. ...How did you hook the reverse thrust up?

I used separate pots connected to the reverser levers, and switch the pot feeding the throttles via EPIC.

...What struts did you use on Matt Ford's controls to simulate a load?

Used a steering damper from any model year Volkswagon Bug for pitch and rudders. Used bungie's for roll.

    James

Thanks for the info James. Never thought of the bunggie method. :o

  10. I can get every position but Flaps 15? I see at least a number change of 3K when going from flaps 10 to 15 but FSUIPC doesn't chande the output. Every other position it adds or subtracts 2047 as it should. I'm prpbably missing something here?

Hmm. I don't know. That does sound wrong. Which aircraft is it? I'd like to reproduce it here if I can. Can you list the flap positions for me so I can set it up the same here, please? And also, if you can, the range of inputs for each output that you are getting. I'll certainly check to make sure there's not a bug in FSUIPC. It seems unlikely as the code is the same for each movement, it is only a simply calculation.

    Pete,

Here are the figures I show, note, after recalibrating in WINXP, now flaps 25 is inop. Default 737, FSUIPC "FLAPS" tab, min= -16193 max=16192

    IN out

    Flaps 0 -16193 0

    Flaps 1 -13135 2047

    Flaps 2 -11329 4094

    Flaps 5 -3800 6141

    Flaps 10 -321 8188

    Flaps 15 2029 10235

    Flaps 25 4764 10235

    Flaps 30 8956 12282

    Flaps 40 16031 16376

Hope this info helps. It's so close to working correctly. Thanks for your help.
